False witnessing is a sin.
Very good, you're finally learning Mr. persecuted supposed Christian man.

So if you're going to sin, go large?
Great advice.

… with God and with people.

Sin (from the religious perspective) and/or wronging someone (from the secular perspective) are like financial debt.

It’s best to pay it off/settle quickly because there is usually interest to pay on it; from either perspective.

Thoughts?
Here's a thought: Jettison all of that Abrahamic sin crap from your mind.

Otherwise, on a secular/spiritual level I would agree about cleaning up after oneself as soon as possible, if possible.

I was just talking about day-to-day stuff; minor offences given, poor thoughts etc. and keep short accounts with those involved.
Sounds good.

I lied to my boss to finish work early, in order to take the cat to the vet. Meanwhile the chap down the street murdered his postman.

Are our sins equal, or is one little in comparison to the other?
Depends what the postman did!
