Like Robbie you have found a way to completely avoid responding to my post. Yes, you have literally responded, in that you've written something in response, but you still left the valid points I made regarding how we are to honor Christ, untouched - as if you chose to ignore them altogether. With all due respect, if you don't start addressing th norance of any and all countervailing evidence.
That is arrogance.
I did respond to your post. I responded with the following:
Actually the only correct answer is, "Jesus didn't say, so we don't know". If you asked Jesus, perhaps He would tell you, but what you are doing is essentially providing an explanation for Jesus where He provided none.
This is the main point. I'm not sure what you don't understand about the above. You say you'll make every effort to respond to my points, yet you ignore the main point. When the premise is so flawed, is there really much point in exploring the details? You say you have "proof" the Jesus was God, yet all you've produced thus far is speculation based on what Jesus had to say about honoring Him. FYI, "speculation" does not equate to "proof". The fact that Jesus does not explicitly support your views makes it all the more dubious.
"What is arrogant is thinking that the vast majority of Christians, from the earliest church down through the last two thousand years, were the ones who have got it all wrong, and further, basing that supposition on the ignorance of any and all countervailing evidence.
That is arrogance."
Interesting that you find my thinking that MAN, i.e. "the vast majority of Christians", has managed to get things wrong is so much more arrogant than your being so presumptuous so as to provide underlying explanations for Jesus where He provided none. You not only provide the underlying explanation but proudly proclaim it to be the "only correct answer." You really lack perspective here. MAN has a long history of getting things wrong. You believe yourself to be capable of providing explanations for Jesus where He provided none. You believe yourself proper in making claims for Jesus where He made none. You're really something.

ThinkOfOne,
Where did Jesus explicitly state that He was a MAN?
If you say it is there by strong inference we can with just as much validity say that He infered that He was God.

We are all God's children, no? The males are sons, and the females are daughters.
Bible does not have the expression 'God's children'.
The expression 'the Son of God' is Christ.
'Sons of God' or 'children of God' often means angels (Gen 6), or followers of Christ, or those called of God.
The general expressions for mankind in the Bible are 'man', 'sons of men', and 'daughters of men'.

You seem to be doing a lot of that lately.
Or is it just when you see my post you automatically think its garbage?..🙂
Not a boast. Just possibly the case. The burden has been discharged and there is no more I have from Him to tell you on that matter.
Originally posted by jaywillWhile I found it extremely presumptuous for Epi to make claims for Jesus, I have to admit that your claim to be speaking for Jesus tops it. You are certainly an arrogant lot. Seems to me Jesus taught humility. Evidently this is yet another teaching of His that you choose to ignore.

Next the Lord is speaking through you. I think there are enough smart people on this site to figure out that you are damaged goods.

I did not "blame" Christ. Nor did I say it could NOT have been because of my own mistake.
I did imply it could be MY MISTAKE. You're kind of dense here fella.

LOL. Did I say I was PERFECT dude ??
Ok dude. You wait for the PERFECT Christian to come along and tell you something about the Gospel of Jesus.
Remember, that person has to be PERFECT, no work in progress, no more room for growth and maturity.
You're not going to take it from him or her unless they have ARRIVED at total maturity.
You wait for that Brother or Sister PERFECT to come along to try to tell you of the love of Jesus. That will be a handy excuse.
"Well, you see God, all these Christians were not perfect ! So I didn't believe them about anything they pointed out to me in the Bible."

I don't think you have carefully read the Bible for 40 years as you claim. You impress me as someone who actually has contempt for the Bible.
For 40 years you may have studied someone's spin about what is in the Bible. That you try to put out here. It gets demolished by a couple of posters who do study the Bible and your "rubbish" gets exposed.
Worse than that you can't recover it or defend it. The feeble tissue a "defense" for your half cocked ideas are pitiful.
Robbie tries valiantly to bail you out now and then. Not that much better.

I think everybody know exactly who twists what Christ says and it aint me. In fact people sometimes accuse me of taking what Christ says too literally. You however like to add .. eg
Christ said 'Eternal punishment'
Jaywill said 'NOOOOO... its Eternal Suffering".
