Literal vs Metaphor challenge

Spirituality

I told you take it all literally, the truth is to be taken that way if it comes at you
in literal or metaphoric forms it is the truth. Please man up and give the proper
interpretation of those scriptures, if they don't mean what they say, what do they
mean? I submit to you that if you change the Word of God by adding to it or
taking away from it, that according to scripture that is a no, no before God. So
speak up please, and while your at it, be coherent when you do this.

What makes your views about what is incomprehensible and abhorrent so big a
deal that you can change the Word of God, to make it mean something other than
what it says?

We require interpreters where languages are spoken when not everyone understands what is being said. None are required when everyone can hear and understand without help. You are completely confused in that you can see what is written and it doesn’t sit well with you. Looking for a way to make it mean something other than what it says you’re doing this dance asking for anyone to make it mean something you can like. What it says just quote it, because that is what it means.

Take it and call literal, call it literal or pick and choose doesn’t matter to me. I find your need to define it as such nothing but an attempt to avoid what the scripture clearly claims.

If you believe it doesn’t mean what it says and you cannot even give a clear explanation as to why you think this. There is no reasoning with someone who has no reasons to defend their views, feelings are not relevant.

Counter Measures: you answer a direct question with another question(s) with the intention of streering the laser-beamed question aimed at you...away from you and onto something sort of related but not as awkward.

Is the book of Revelation entirely literal, yes or no?

Well....

This is a trick question.

It is literal but many things are made known to us by signs.

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him to show to His slaves the things that must quickly take place;and He made it known by signs, sending it by His angel to His slave John. (Rev. 1:1)

1.) It is literally a revelation of Jesus Christ. Yes or No?

2.) It is literal that God gave the revelation to Jesus Christ. Yes or No?

3.) It is literally for the showing of these things to His slaves. Yes or No?

4.) It literally concerns the things which must quickly take place. Yes or No?

5.) He literally made known by means of signs. Yes or No?

6.) It literally was sent by God's angel to God's slave John. Yes or No?

Divegeester please answer these six questions concerning verse 1 of Revelation.

Well ... ?
