Actually the passage is praising a wifes virtues, how its possible to construe that as sexist is at present unfathomable. I suspect that if Swiss bearded transvestite can win a European singing competition over a Polish milk maid, then its a topsy turvy world in which we live and this offering of yours reflects that back-to-frontness.

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. [righteous, not and evil person]
She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. [hardworking]
She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. [industrious and resourceful]
She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. [work first, sleep after]
She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. [good business thinking]
She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. [strict on quality standards, hardworking]
She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. [good management and control of her staff]
She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.[charitable and giving]
She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. [ensure that everyone around here is well prepared]
She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. [another example of her industrious nature]
She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. [astute busniesswoman]
Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. [fair and just, she enjoys the fruit of her labour]
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. [kind and diplomatic with all people]
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. (Proverbs 31:10-30 KJV)

secondly if a list is to be made it should not be gender specific. all the things that make a 'good woman' also apply to men and visa-versa.
so with that in mind here is my list on what it takes to be a good person.
1 - be nice to people.
list complete.

You are seeing the words but not understanding the message.
seems pretty literal to me, especially when the content of nearly every line is relating to housework. even more so when you add the context of the time it was written and the attitude towards woman during that time.
question for you - do you think the list also applies to men?

1. Are there qualities listed here that do not apply to men as well?
2. Is there a comparable list of good men's qualities somewhere to be found?
Just anticipating Father's Day.

It appears you people are hell bent on condemning everything that comes out of the Bible. What a waste of time you jokers are.
