Your probably right there. To many religions have gotten away from the truths and principles of the Bible and have let the theories of the world influance them to the point that many only have a hint of spiritual insight....

Your making ridiculous assumptions now.

My comment was about your arrogant attitude directed towards Badwater. Your view that he doesn't he doesn't have the slightest insight into any spiritual matters is frankly absurd. Who are you to decide what is spritual? You just blindly and arrogantly equate the Bible with spirituality, this is not the first ti ...[text shortened]... opinion of life.

Nope i could be wrong on everything. Do you admit you could be wrong?[/b]
With my personal life? Yes, everyday as I am far from perfect.

Oh, you still see everything in black and white, don't ou? Oh yes, fundamentalists do that.

You have the nerve to call some christians real christians and other christian not? Who do you think you are? God himself? Satan is whispering in your ears. God will judge you when time comes.

You're not a christian yourself, you're just a JW.

i have demonstrated it with reasoning, examples, scriptural references, the recorded words of Christ, Peter and Paul and asking the opinions of others. if you refer back to the beginning of this thread, i asked Noobster, i may have even asked yourself. What are you assertions based upon? have you asked others for their opinion, provided references? no its just a personal opinion masquerading as some type of truth. i hope you have learned something from this Fabian, either refute the reasoning, or make sure your personal opinions, stay personal!

Do you have any ideas on what would qualify a person to be a Christian according to the Bible? A very simple question and not difficult at all. I could ask you some very deep and problematic ones but no, just this simple one. The answers are not mine but in the Bible.
Let see how the other Christian in question answers if he can...

1Tim 2:4 speaks of accurate knowledge and coming to know it. If you rely on your own understanding you will never attain it.
2Tim 3:7 explains that many will never attain it. So if your at a point in your life that you don't accept the Bible as a whole, ...[text shortened]... Bible and come to a correct understanding of the issues you do not understand ....
Rev 3:16.
do you have more than one fabric in your shirt?
do you kill a cattle if you sin?
do you believe homosexuals should be killed?
do you believe women should keep quiet unless spoken to?
if your brother would die, would you have to take is wife as your own?

follow the teachings of christ. that's it. not some obscure verse that some interpret as being proof that adam and eve existed, not something that is written in a gospel and dismissed in another, not something paul teached or john or whomever.

follow jesus. that's it.

There is the perfect example that you have not gotten any of the very basic points from Jesus's teachings. He made it very clear we are no longer bound by those laws as he himself fulfilled them. Matt 5:17. We are to still follow the principles but not the Mosaic laws as they were written. What examples did Jesus show in his life for us to follow?
What did he say was the new commandment that Christians are to follow?
You need to know this my friend...

Constantly learning and adjusting just as the Bible says would happen. Prov 4:18, 19.

So everyone should believe Genesis and its fanciful tales to the letter, but the 'principles' that are laid down in the Mosaic law don't really need to be taken seriously?

Not my words at all. Read all of what Jesus says about that. It's there.
