@divegeester
I’m glad you appreciated my description of you. Pretty on the button, right?
Frothy, you called it. Wonderful!
I believe that when we start using accurate language to describe each other, it will be a better world, don’t you agree?
Far better than just calling people liar for no reason, because you can’t handle what they said.

@rajk999 [i]said[/iYou do know that there is a difference between allowing people the right to chose their own points of view, and agreeing with them, thinking their pov is OK?
You apparently think these points of view are ok ?
I think Galv and sonships points of view are wrong, but I will defend their right to have them.
Your own pov about good works also sometimes (imho) borders on the extreme, but then on the other hand it is better than licentiousness, so I haven’t challenged you on it.
@caljust saidOk so their view is wrong, but I will take an active role in openly condemning those views. I think it is the Christlike way. Passively allowing false doctrines is tantamount to supporting them in my view. Christ would not support sitting on the sidelines and saying that it is ok. I dont think so.

I promote the teachings of Christ. The Apostles' doctrine is twisted out of shape because of the lengthy explanations that were required to teach the Gentiles. Taken as a whole the Apostles preached good works and righteousness as the one thing that will get someone into the Kingdom of God. Same thing Jesus said.
Jesus said good works. Paul said the same thing. Some Christians ignore it.
If you were one of the thousands who heard Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, I bet you would rightly walk away from there with good works and righteousness as your sole aim for the rest of your life.

Pretty much like voting, isn't it? I will defend everybody's right to vote, but I may not agree with them.
But then, if I feel strongly enough about something, I may enter politics and try to convince those that disagree with me, that my view is the correct one - that is also my right.
But I believe that it is wise to pick one's battles. If you argue about EVERYTHING with everybody with whom you disagree, you will have no time for anything else in life.
Jesus picked one main battleground on which he faced his detractors, and that was on the issue of hypocrisy. He saved his harshest condemnations for the pharisees.
You will note that he never preached publicly against even adultery, or the excesses of the tax collectors, or drunkenness. Strange, isn't it? These were the BIG sins in the eyes of his hearers. But he focused on the sins of the heart - pride, judgement of others, hypocrisy, unforgiveness.
Passively allowing false doctrines is tantamount to supporting them in my view. Christ would not support sitting on the sidelines and saying that it is ok.
As I pointed out above, he certainly spoke out in no uncertain terms about the practices of the religious elite. But other things he was quiet about.
It would be wrong to assume that this quietness indicated approval, it clearly did not. But maybe he thought some things were more important than others?
Edit - PS: It was John the Baptist who majored on actions and behaviour rather than beliefs. When people (e.g. soldiers, tax collectors) came to him asking what should they do, he pretty much told them. As opposed to what Paul and Peter told people who asked them the same question - their response was that they should believe.
