It'd be a close call. Probably, i'd say no,because it did most of its killing back in the middle ages. Religion as a total probably has killed more, but it's impossible to get reliable figures.

The question is actually absurd. We could say that 'heart disease'
killed more than religion with great confidence, for example, or
'complications in pregnancy.'

Yes, stupidly I took him to mean other wars / killers.

Of course, we wouldn't know if people wouldn't have had those heart attacks if they'd been a different religion.
