The book was apparently written by someone, who did not know the story well. However, it was also apparently written for entertainment for small children. So only a dumbass Brit would think it showed the actual event with the giraffe taking up a third of the ark. 😀

I think it was written to indoctrinate small children rather than entertain. The bit about Jesus was particularly insidious.

It was very funny.

It takes a person, who is capable of honestly using reason and logic in evaluating the right portions of the information we know. Atheists consider the wrong portions of the information in a dishonest way. Honesty is a big key to true knowledge. It is much more logical to believe our material world, with the complex life forms in it, were created by an intelligent God from a supernatual spiritual world as indicated in the Holy Bible, than it all just happened for no reason and for no purpose whatsoever. It should seem obvious that many things in our material world has a purpose for its existence and thus needs a designer to assign the purpose of each creation. A dumbass would not be able to understand this because a dumbass iin not capable of honest reason. As Dasa would simply say, "The dumbass Atheists are dishonest."

it is really funny to hear you mention reason and logic. reason and logic dictates that a boat that big couldn't have been built, let alone be seaworthy, that animals couldn't have been gathered from all over the world (unless koalas bring a 5 year or so supply of eucalyptus leaves).

there are so many problems with just building and managing an ark, problems you "honest" fundies just seem to ignore. yet you have the balls to pick on a comedian who exaggerated(for the sake of comedy) a made up aspect of a made up boat.

There are others that believe reason and logic can be used to explain a worldwide flood.

woodmorappe's arguments are dismantled thoroughly in
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-noahs-ark.html

and we aren't talking about the "hydroplate theory" just now. we are talking about the cute little koalas and how they couldn't have survived the journey(it also has underwater segments) from the land down under to wherever noah's little zoo had gathered.
