Some posters like myself are so eager to explain something of the Christian faith that we can be too wordy and verbose.
Many times this verbosity is described as "waffle".
"Why did you write all that unasked for stuff which took up so much space and time ?? WAFFLE!"
Well, I notice many posters here are adept at an opposite characteristic, which I will define below, not as "waffle" but as "sniffle".
I define "Sniffle" as the tendency and dubious "skill" of some posters to take a profound subject and immediately dumb it down to its most superficial treatment.
Here's a good example of dumbing DOWN an issue of the Christian faith to "SNIFFLE" by a master of it,
You want immediate answer to a question? ... god did it.
You want immediate justification for your actions? ... god told me.
You want immediate explanation of your situation? ... god willed it.
Dumb it down to the most superficial cynical treatment immediately.
This is a byproduct of the chat nature of the Internet discussion. Quickly sound bite things to there most superficial analysis.
You just get to lightest wiff of a smell of what you don't like. Hit and run. Cheap shot. Quickly sum it all up with a cheap crack as the end all of the matter.
Sniffle is the opposite of Waffle.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidthe waffles are ok its the wafflers that stick in my craw.....They know who they are.
I think waffles themselves can be profound. (If accompanied by ice cream and pouring chocolate).
The above comment might qualify as a sniffle.
