Judging from the previous statement by Omnislash, that christian fundamentalism is very much progressing into american politics, and your statement that christian ideal are far from the direction of current politics in USA, I can only conclude that christian fundamentalism is far from the christian ideals.
Am I right, in saying so?
I guess that depends on who you are talking too.
I call myself a Christian fundamentalist, yet I care more about people
and their free will than I do forcing a law upon them to make them
do what I think is 'right.' "Fundamentalist" can used to describe
anyone, some people I think are down right scary too. I don't like the
idea of a church state mix, the church should be more concern about
winning over hearts and minds, than applying law upon the masses.
Winning the hearts and minds needs to be done in the light if you
will, not through deceptive means, or trickery, it has to be done
with truth, in love or it is just another head game.
