I guess it could be said that all language is made up of breathing
sounds of varying intensity. But the name of God is a sound that
also acknowledges life and being by the sound of the breath.

So you watched the video in the link? I remember when I saw that video my friend (A pastor) showed it in his Church. A few got upset. He is controversial. I kinda take it with a grain of salt. However it's an interesting take on God's Name no doubt.
If this be so then the Holy name of God would be almost un pronounceable. I think people get too caught up on the little things is all. Is it an "J" or and "Y" ? God says "I Am" sent you Moses !! What does it mean? I Am the always existent One. Then Jesus later says "Before Moses was "I Am" It's more in the reaction of the ones who heard this statement for Jesus was speaking Blasphemy to those who heard this.

The rendering of John 8:58 is another instance of a translator imposing his religious
bias upon scripture where none exists in the text. Not only is the translation a
tampering with tenses to substantiate a dogma, its not even proper English.

“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” - NIV

before Abraham was born, i am? hardly a grammatically correct statement, even in
English, is it? when someone asks you your name, do you say, 'Manny, i am?', or
when someone asks you if you would you like something to eat, 'hungry I am?', or
if you are waiting to be served, 'first in line i am?'. Is that how you speak in
English? No, then it is not proper to say in English, 'before Abraham came to be, i
am'. Its a nonsense of a translation.

So i can end up sitting in front of my pc telling others how to be a Christian when I
could be out helping others apply biblical principles in their life to better themselves,
no thanks, I choose life. If you keep bad mouthing the Witnesses as you are doing,
you will very soon find yourself on ignore, for i have GB away enabled. I dont mind
discussing Biblical concepts, but as soon as you start your nonsense with Witnesses this
and Watchtower that, then you run the very serious risk of being GB awayed, its up to

I think that is the whole point RC !! "I Am" It's like saying Punk!!! Who am I? I Am that's who I am. So while I agree that at least in modern English it sounds weird how else would God say Look " I Am" is all you need to know about me. "I Am" should sum it up nicely. Once again it's not what Christ said so much as the reaction it drew. If what Christ said was not that big of a deal why did they pick up stones to throw at Him? It's simple..........
