I stopped at the truck-stop today and met Ron Fields. Ron is a few years older than me. We talked politics, and then religion.
This is what Ron said.
"There are two things on this earth that we have to worry about, and that's God's will, and the Devil's wish, and we all know the Devil's wish."

The devil's wish is that we don't do God's will.
I spent over two years in daily debate in this forum, and most of the posters in here, well, alot of them anyway, know where I stand. I believe in the God of the Bible. My position on spiritual issues is fundamentally evangelical.
There is an enemy of God called the devil and Satan. Yes, we have plenty to worry about. I'd say that that is abundantly evident when one considers the condition of humanity. One can take the positive view and point out man's achievements and say we are striving forward. But on the other hand, from a Biblical perspective, pointing out the positive only accentuates the negative, and by comparison, shows that the condition of man is in decline.
There is not fewer wars, there are not fewer deaths, there is not less murder or starvation or disease. The problems we face, in spite of the illusion of progress, are greater than ever.
But don't be fooled into thinking I'm a pessimist. There is great hope, and that hope is in one person and no other. Jesus.
And what is the will of God? That we believe in His son Jesus Christ.
Have you ever noticed how the whole world is against and resists God as He is reveled in the Bible? It seems like anything else goes, but if one speaks about Jesus, then that one is considered a throw back. Among other things.
