@caissad4 saidYou know this how, is it something you made up, or were you told this? How has this been validated for you?
Yes, the evidence backs up my statement.
The books of your bible were chosen based on popularity in various churches.
Heck, Mark, Luke, Matthew and John were made up names. No one even knows who wrote those books.
@kellyjay saidIt is called history. Actual Christian historians have written on these subjects.

They also, despite this knowledge, still believe in the divinity of Jesus.
When you were not so willfully ignorant you can research them yourself.
@caissad4 saidI will listen or read something from you to prove your point if you would listen to one of mine.

@kellyjay saidI do not need to engage in an exchange as I have read a much greater diversity of religious material than you are likely to read in your lifetime.

You do not have a high level of honesty, if your behavior on this forum is as you have presented yourself.
Clearly you have no desire to even examine what Christian scholars have discovered about your own faith. If you did you would not have wanted an "exchange". You seem to only care about proselytizing rather than actually knowledge, whether it is your or another faith.
You are a closed book.

@caissad4 saidKellyJay is someone who doesn't think that evolution of species happened, and seems to deny all natural science. He just believes whatever he reads in the bible. I daresay if someone wrote down that his god put two people on the earth to make the whole of humanity and called them Adam and Eve he'd probably believe it. So, you know, I wouldn't worry too much about the whole eternal damnation thing, he probably just read about it somewhere.
Me too.
Nobody comes to Christ through fear.
Nobody comes to Christ through fear of hell and punishment
The person who is afraid is not (yet) perfected in love
Perfect love casts out all fear.
This is not true historically or biblically.
If you read for instance about the Welsh Revival participated in by Evan Roberts, people came to Christ to be SAVED from being damned.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evan_Roberts_(minister)
I would not believe Spurgeon led no people to Christ through instilling the fear of God's judgment.
I would not believe George Whitfield led no people to Christ through enlightening them to the fear of God's judgment.
I would not believe that D.L. Moody led no people to Christ that way.
I would not believe Billy Graham did not led people to Christ through fear.
Whether all such became overcoming Christians is not the point.
It is an exaggeration to claim no one came to Christ through fear of judgement. This is a Unitarian's daydream in spite of verses like "there is no fear in love" and "perfect love casts out fear". Those verses are about being perfected and no necessarily about the initial coming to the Lord Jesus.
Besides, the Bible says that the fear of the Lord is clean "enduring forever" too.
Psalm 19:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
I’m not interested in anecdotes about hellfire preachers sonship.
Many are not interested in your labels.
Besides I count your comment as a LIE because I have started MANY threads about the Gospel which did not have hell as their central focus.
I am interested in setting the record more straight after your exaggeration.
And your verse doesn’t support your claim. Fear of god is not fear of hell and punishment.
Oh yes it is.
If you want to talk about other motivations to turn your heart over the Jesus Christ, I could all week long. Don't lie to the people telling them no one came to Jesus Christ for fear that NOT coming to Jesus Christ would mean ending up under the wrath of God.
You may not like those consequences. You cannot remove the warning of those consequences from the Bible.
There is no shame in turning to Jesus Christ because you fear hell.
You are not a second class believer in Christ if you DO.
I’m not interested in anecdotes about hellfire preachers sonship.
You weren't interested in the thread The City of Water with about the same degree of cynicism.
Kind of "damned if you do, damned in you don't" no pun intended.
Anyway people - Don't be hoodwinked that one should not come to the Savior Jesus because of fear of wrath.
Christ, Paul said, "delivers us from the wrath to come." (1 Thess. 1:10)
English Standard Version
and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.
Berean Study Bible
and to await His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead—Jesus our deliverer from the coming wrath.
You are not second or third class because you came to Jesus to AVOID the coming wrath.
