There are many purposes IN my life, but they all come down to one purpose (or two) I suppose; the maximization of my happiness and the minimization of my pain.
I get the picture.

What if it brings happiness to one person if he kills other people?

If the primary concept of God is ubiquitous, then would not all of the questions and all of the answers be at least all partially right and all partially wrong at the same time? That being the case what is the purpose of the debate. It is just endless chatter and vanity at best.

Sorry. The Spirituality forum takes a lot of mental work and I haven't been in the mood for that sort of thing lately.

What if it brings happiness to one person if he kills other people?

What if it does? I don't know what exactly you're asking.

I believe my faith has the best answers for these questions...
1) Matt (aka "Ironstar" )
2) I'm a creation of God....as I believe all humans are....
3) To get others to be saved by the grace of God.....
4) Since I am a Christian, I believe that I will go to heaven, because I have been saved by the power of God.....

You said:"There are many purposes IN my life, but they all come down to one purpose (or two) I suppose; the maximization of my happiness and the minimization of my pain."

My question is thus directed as you: If the purpose of your life is the maximization of happiness, would you have a problem with someone else maximizing their own happiness by means of killing other people, if killing other people was a means of maximizing their own happiness?

Yes I would have a problem with that, unless the ones being killed didn't mind being killed.

On what basis? I thought you said that life does not have a purpose.

Who am I?

Wulebgr, a leech

Where do I come from?

the waters beneath

What is the meaning of life?

suck blood (nutrition); play chess (entertainment)

Where do I go when I die?

In a trout's stomach, and then back to the deep.

Life is not a sentient entity, and therefore cannot have purposes.

I find it unpleasant when people benefit at others' expense.

Why? If people are just the products of a cosmic burp, and have no intrinsic value, I see no reason why you should find it unpleasant at all.
