You say Atheists have spirit. So you have a "spirit".
Okay so prove it... show us some tangible proof that you have a spirit.

Theists deny evolution because of (in their minds) gaps in the fossil record. What about the one very large gap that there is no tangible proof whatever that god exists?

Mr Avalanche, I guess I stand corrected as far as RHP rules are concerned.

    However, please consider the following....

Belief...is an acceptance that something exists or is true, especially one without proof: Oxford English Dictionary (OED).

So it is a contradictory to ask a person with a belief to prove it. Else it would not be a belief.

Now, imagine two persons having a debate about a belief or any other subject, then a third person comes along and says that the belief or subject doesn't exist. I would suggest that the third person stops any chance of a debate from progressing.

An example of what I am talking about happened recently in the Science forum in a thread about a possible cure for cancer, when along came a gentleman claiming that it was cheating science... the thread was hijacked and the debate just ended.

"I'm pretty sure that belief in the supernatural, religion or afterlife is not required in order for people to wish to discuss it."....... IMHO, a shared belief would certainly help further the discussion.

I deny the theory of evolution for many more reasons than all the gaps
in the fossil record that prove evolution. But there are really no gaps in
the fossil records because evolution is false and that is why we don't
find any transitional stages in the fossil records. Artists have to draw
such transitional stages because they can't be found in real life.

You want to know about the one very large gap that there is no tangible
proof whatever that god exists. I say that you must have a blind fold on
not to see the millions of proofs tha God exists. So that gap must be in
    your head.

I think I see your point. I think however, that people seek different things from their experiences in these forums. From my point of view, I think that a discussion between people who share similar beliefs is less likely to produce an interesting debate than one between people with very different beliefs - provided, of course, that they are able to discuss the relevant issues in a mature and detached manner. Other people like to use it for simply for declaring their own beliefs, something I find quite tiresome after a while.

This is not the first time you have offered this untruth, Mr Hinds. Please follow the link below to see a list of genuine transitional fossils. There are actually rather a lot of them.

There is no proof that these are transitional fossils. It is only declared.

There are so many proofs against evolution that I really don't know what
is the best. However, one person put it this way:

"If we went through millions of years of evolution, then why is the majority
of the human race still so f-ing stupid?"

If we were designed by an almighty god, then why is the majority of
the human race so f-ing stupid?

Or better, If we were designed by an almighty god, why are we so badly
    put together?

Or, why did god have so little imagination?
Where are the 5 legged mammals?
    Where are centaurs, or unicorns?
    How about mermaids?
Where are the fire breathing dragons?
How can James Cameron come up with cooler looking creatures in a few years
    than god did in eternity?

There are NO Proofs against evolution.
The scientific method tries to disprove hypotheses, and people have been
trying to disprove evolution for over 150yrs.
They not only found nothing to disprove it, they found an enormous
    amount to support it.

Plus, in any system in which things replicate based on a design blueprint,
and that blueprint contains duplication errors, and has a survival of the fittest
    selection pressure WILL demonstrate evolution.
    It is a logical Inevitability.

As we have amply demonstrated that living creatures do replicate via a blueprint
(DNA) that does contain copying errors, then evolution by natural selection MUST
    occur by definition.

    Really?

I am Christian, and I believe in the theory of Evolution. I believe evolution was the method used to bring about the creation of life on this planet. I do not see any misapplication, nor argument between evolution and the concept that God created the universe. I just believe God used our current, working physical laws to do His work. I have little patience with those who say God can do anything and therefore must have used some kind of magic to do His bidding. He can indeed do anything and therefore did NOT need to resort to magic to bring His creation into existence. What is billions of years to God?

This is the essence of faith. With faith, I do not need proof, nor does God even need to snap His fingers and bring everything into immediate existence. I believe God used our current physical laws of nature to create a universe in which it is NOT obvious that God created it. After all, if we had proof, faith would not be required nor necessary.

I did not know you were a Christian. I was under the impression you were
a pretender. But if you say you are, I will accept that. I am glad you did
not need proof to believe. I was more like doubting Thomas and so God
had to give me proof before I could really believe. It is a strange thing
that it is proof only to me, for nobody else will believe it.

Proof is there but dishonest persons simply ignore it......as you have done.

Forbidden Archeology is 500 pages of proof...............but you choose to ignore.

You also choose to slander this book without studying it.

    This is all dishonest.

Your comments are all rooted in dishonesty.

    Why bother.

I want to say this is a big deal and problem with "Classic Evolution" The intermediate fossils or transitional species? I know someone claimed there are some but the fossil record you think would be littered with these but we find not. If millions of years then that allows for the time yet we just don't see the intermediate fossils at all. Why?

All atheists are dishonest. That goes without saying. They even know it
themselves for that is part of the meaning of "atheist". Didn't you know
    that?
