Maybe it is time that you realised that a Creator does not exist and that you are just as wrong as those Christians.
I believe that a Creator exists, but....am not convinced that this Creator is the God of the bible.

There is NO way to defend God, or Jesus. It is all probably made up. A very good fiction.
In previous posts since you joined this site you have suggested that you believe in Jesus. Now you are saying it's all "made up". Which is it to be?

If this is so, then why are you concerned with "Jesus" who is one of the key figures in the Bible?

If you are a mere atheist troll, then what do you care? You have no relevant point here.

Jesus replaced the 'old, evil God of the Old Testament'.

This is false Hinds, because you.....believe that Jesus is God. Therefore, making Jesus just as guilty as God in the Old Testament killings.

A ruler questioned Him, saying, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. You know the commandments, 'DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, DO NOT MURDER, DO NOT STEAL, DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER.'"

This doesn't answer my question. One could ask, if you - like me - are a non-Christian, then 'how is anything you say or ask about Christianity relevant?' But that would be a kind of silly question to ask on a discussion board. Do you have any examples of explanations by Christians of atrocities described in the OT that are even "more deranged" than the atrocities themselves? It's one of the key claims you make in your own OP.

There is nothing more deranged (your word) than God killing innocent children. God has done that in our old testament. Please study your bible, and acquaint yourself with scripture, and then maybe we may talk. You seem ignorant, FMF, of the bible, and of God's word. I will wait until you read the bible. Your ignorance of the issues are quite troubling.

The word "deranged" was your choice and you used it in your OP. The thing you said that I am specifically asking you about is this: "I have read posters trying to defend God for what has taken place in the Old Testament. And.....they sound more deranged than the actual stories given." Do you have any examples of posters who "sound more deranged than the stories" in the OT?

The Holy Bible provides both good and evil examples for our learning.

As it was in the Days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

I know you do. You are wrong. Just as wrong as the Christians are wrong about the Bible.

FMF, please stop posting on my thread. You have nothing to contribute. I would appreciate it. I am being polite here. You generally have nothing at all to say regarding the point of an OP, so please stop posting. Thank you in advance.
Your exchange with FMF in this thread does you no credit Chaney3. His questions are clearly relevant to your OP, and I can see no reason why you should be reacting in such a childish and frankly obnoxious manner. Furthermore, once the OP has been posted, the thread is open. It's not 'your' thread.

So, perhaps you might now deign to detail some of the posts which you feel makes the poster seem 'more deranged' than the stories they're trying to defend?

I hope thinking about all that is an incentive to do what is right in God's sight and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
