Okay, so Jesus is 'part of' God, but not equal to him?
In both cases, God is not a singular God, as laid out in the OT, and the 1st commandment.

Throughout the OT you hear several times that God speaks in plural, "let us make..." Genesis 1:26 which gives us Father, Son, and Holy Spirit hints in the OT. The revealing of God in the NT is much more personal, and if you read the book of John it is declared throughout it, more clearly then the other books, but this is there in all of the Bible.

that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
This is why when Jesus said He is the Way, Truth, and Life there was no way to God accept through Him He wasn't kidding.

I'm sure someone more versed in the Vedas could list a lot of splendid things in their writings that the Bible doesn't contain. For example, the Vedas respect all life-forms and are against any sort of killing for selfish desires. Can the same be said for the Bible? They also outshine the Bible when it comes to physics, chemistry, medicines, sociology, mathematics, theology and engineering. And of course, unlike the Bible, the Vedas are relevant to all countries and not geographically restricted.
