I find the behaviour bizarre as the posts thumbed down are perfectly reasonable, whoever does it is doing it because of the person posting rather than the contents of the post. I'll sometimes rec posts if they are exceptional. I'll very rarely thumb down posts, they basically have to be offensive.
Edit: I've a hunch the first letter isn't in the first half of the alphabet either.
This almost OCD behaviour has been noted by several regular posters in recent weeks. I wonder what a psychologist would make of it; perhaps the action is a physical expression of dissonance, of distancing one's self from the poster rather than the post itself.

Are there any limits to how many up votes or down votes a poster can give out? If not, maybe you could suggest such limits in the site ideas forum.
