Does she sing about Jesus being glorified by the eternal woe of the lost?I sing her song. And if you listened to it you would know what it is about, wouldn't you? - First Thessalonians 5:23
When I write a song about God's saints rejoicing at the defeat of God's enemies though, I'll let you know.
Maybe this verse would serve that purpose - (Revelation 19:1-3)
"After these things I heard as it were a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying,
Hallalujah! The salvation and the glory and the power are of our God. "
Isn't that a good reason to rejoice? Or does that thought depress you too? Then they go on -
"For true and righteous are His judgments, for He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and He avenged the blood of His slaves at her hand.
And a second time they said, Hallelujah! And her smoke goes up forever and ever. " (Revelation 19:1-3)
Perhaps that verse would make a good song memorization and praise. (Revelation 19:1-3)
Interesting - "Hallelujah! And her smoke goes up forever and ever." it says in verse 3.
You may ( I don't know though ) have a way to avoid these praises if they seem too evil to you. Perhaps you could cast your lot in with Babylon and Satan and choose to be where you think disgust and revulsion with God's justice is more justified.
I don't know where you stand. Maybe you still have a choice to be rather with God's enemies pouting forever that you are more right than God. I'm sure Satan would appreciate your eternal company.
@kellyjay saidThe beauty of life does not depend on how happy you are - but on how happy others can be because of you.
Human history shows us a lot woe on the world are when some put themselves
above others for their own happiness, and pleasures. Happiness and pleasure along
with joy should be the byproducts of our lives not the prime goals of it.
@dj2becker said"Chess, like love, like music, has the power to make men happy" -Tarrasch
Human history is the long terrible story of man trying to find something other than God which will make him happy.
-C.S. Lewis
Where does God figure in any of that?
If God is happy with you, you will be happy.
If God is happy your joy will be a reflection in your spirit of the happiness of God Almighty with you.
If one is not reconciled to God and God is not happy because of this breach, this interruption of fellowship - there is NO WAY you will have happiness of the fullest kind.
Every sinner who confesses finally "Lord Jesus, I just receive You. Lord Jesus I have just a little faith, not a huge mountain. With my mustard seed size faith, I just receive You into my heart, Lord Jesus.
You Lord are the answer to my need for forgiveness and coming home to God."
will experience a deepest joy for the first time in her or his life.
That supernatural joy is the REFLECTION of God's happiness that you have come HOME to His eternal love, forgiven ready for an eternal union between you and the heavenly Father.
What ?
You didn't read the parable of the waiting eager father (or the as some say the parable of the prodigal son)
The son came home with speech wanting to WORK of his father like a hired servant. His father was waiting and longing for him to return home.
The loving father did not even let the prodigal son get his good speech finished. He ran to him and fell on his neck. This son was dead and is now ALIVE!
Read Luke 15:11-32. Read it aloud today. Especially this part -
"And he rose up and came to his own father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and he ran and fell on his neck and kissed him affectionately.
And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.
BUT ... the father said to his slaves, Bring out quickly the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fattened calf; slaughter it, and let us eat and be merry.
Because this son of mine was dead and lives again; he was lost and has been found. And they began to be merry." (Luke 15:20-24)
When the Father is happy that you have come home, believe me, you too will sense a deepest happiness not of this world which you did not know could be. You'll be happy because the Eternal Father is happy you came home to Him.
