Apparently, General Duke was a 'methodical and experienced tactician' (which I rather like) but also as an 'egotistical and xenophobic man' which is not quite my cup of tea.
Being in England, I assume you have not had the true experience of living among rednecks. I grew up with real Southern American rednecks in Georgia. I live among Texas rednecks now but they are a different sort.

The army in the Starcraft story, the army that General Duke was part of. It was an army of Southern American rednecks, most of whom were released from prison to fight for the Terran "confederacy." Duke, as will as the leader Arcturus Mengsk and others like them, were more educated and aristocratic. Giving their redneck accent a little charm.

I do love rednecks. So I have a special liking to characters like Duke and Mengsk.

Rednecks in Blighty are chaps who have underestimated the midday sun whiling planting cauliflowers.

I underestimated the Texas sun and planted new grass in my backyard several weeks ago. Every time I step out back to have a smoke, I get a nice view of my handiwork. A huge blighted patch of withering, burning, baby grass. I guess that makes me a blighty redneck.

I'd broaden that definition to include all of the brassicas and chapesses.

'Whiling?' How very embarrassing.

Fortunately, my posts represent both! That’s why my title is “Best Main Poster” and not just “main poster.”

Quality not quantity. That's the most environmentally friendly thing you can do.
