The military is not the place for anything other than the military it's job is to fight and kill
people when the need arises. Anything that weakens the troops, disrupts their ability to
function as a unit, where none is different from the next should be kept out of least it
weakens them in ways that are dangerous. Have you ever served in the military, fought,
where those next to you could be killed? If you want a fun happy place to explore one's
whatever you think they need to explore, do it where other's lives are not put in danger.

    WTF

"Leader of the Free World" ... lmao
I personally don't think that gays, transgenders, bisexuals, or women should serve in the armed forces.

Who wants to add sexual attraction and the problems it creates to the battle field? For example, do we want jealous lovers shooting each other in the back on the battle field? Do we want soldiers who are angry at unwanted sexual advances shooting their comrades in the back as well, etc?

In case most don't know, sexual assault on women in the military is a big problem currently.

I don't care or think it matters except one must conform to the military, the military does not conform to who joins it. As long as every rule and standards are followed should be no issues.

    There is also this.

Cost to military for gender-transition-related treatment: $2.4M-$8.4M/year Cost to military for erectile dysfunction medicines: $84M/year

Being a transgender is a psychological problem, not a physiological problem. There is nothing wrong with their parts, just their head.

I would think the military does not want any lose cannons on board who have mental problems who are armed to kill.

As I said as long as all the rules and standards are being followed, I don't see any issues. When accommodations become part of the package it's no longer the military but the individual that is calling the shots.

A foetus is not a person and therefore has no rights. It's not a person until it's viable outside the womb. Prior to that, it's not an actual life with actual rights, it's only a potential life with potential rights subordinate to the actual life and actual rights of the mother.

So banning women from the military is the answer?

In that case let's ban women from dark alleyways too. πŸ™„

Cutting apart perfectly functional body parts is mutilation.

Men fighting along side each other day and night is better achieved without sexual attraction being thrown in the mix.

It is hard enough to keep soldiers from raping civilian women on the combat field.

I'm sorry you have such a low opinion of your military.

Listen, I realize people like yourself have no problem with a 50 year old man urinating next to your 7 year old daughter, but when it comes to life and death on the battle field the situation becomes a bit more urgent than a mere traumatized child.

It is quite disturbing how your mind works,
it would be a stretch to call that post even
tangential to what we are discussing.

    Just like jail,eh?

Keep the men together , they wont try to rape/have sex with each other ...nah ...
You've got the answer there ol' boy .

In fact you seem to have all the answers- even though they are only for one particular event usually, and then you try to generalize them into a whole area.

A fearful, negative and divisive mind bounds knows no bounds...
    Positivity is underrated.
I blame tv media. I mean we (Australia) have had one (Islamic) terrorist incident and now the PM is parading around for the next few years saying how we dont have to live in fear and we can go about our daily business.
You gotta turn that crap off, or put it in context.
Geez you dont see many stories on palm tree but your more likely to be killed by a coconut. Lets get some perspective.

In the U.S. more people are killed by someone they know than by a terrorist, however many are just over obsessed with Islamaphobia. It's the flavour of the century so far for the media
