The "J" replaced the equivalent of the "Y" from Hebrew and the "I" from Greek. 😏

Therefore Y would be the translation of our J as in HalleluYah instead of Hallelujah.

It appears that Robbie and galveston75 have decided to leave this forum, so you may have to wait a while.

Meaningless question. You cannot "translate" a letter.

better to ask;
1. Does Hebrew have the phoneme /J/ ?
2. If it does what is the grapheme.
If it does not what is the closest phoneme and corresponding grapheme.

And are you really asking about modern Hebrew ????????

Indeed, there is no doubt in my mind that they use this forum as a means for extra JW brownie points.

well you started the thread, and i think most readers would've thought it was more humorous than serious . Is that right? (you know how sensitive those JW''s get, unless of course they are the ones dishing it out 😛 )
