@fmf saidAlright, then, so what are the universal values that we have out there?
Well, I am not superstitious - I don't believe in supernatural causality - and I am not religious. So I am obviously not able to offer anything other than an atheistic perspective on stories about angels and demons and divine beings and supernatural phenomena and "sin" and people rising from the dead and non-Christians getting tortured by a vengeful "creator being".
So I'm no ...[text shortened]... se who do not believe in everlasting life as being nihilistic is a kind of lazy deflection-cum-odge.
BTW, I like the tooting of your own horn... Prolifically contributing to discussions on a, b, c, d, e, f, g, etc.
This seems like a pretty melodramatic way of talking about how much poop posting you've done. And no, this isn't a personal attack: nearly everything we do here is poop posting.
Poop posting contrasts with "effort posting," and of course, "effort posting" is a bit facetious because, at the end of the day, we are arguing on the internet. But the poop posting which ha san air of scholarliness and the likes is called effort posting.
Maybe you could consider yourself a prolific effort poster.
@fmf saidHaha, no. I do not think that is the case.
Just go back and respond to all the content of posts you ignored it's still there. You deliberately stopped using the 'quote' feature so that you could pretend to be engaging in a discussion while not actually addressing what I was saying and the answers to your questions - a little sidestepping gimmick that I don't use and that you use a lot.
I also find the way that you split a single post into so many multiple, tiny other posts to be disagreeable. I end up posting in the same way and it feels off.
@philokalia saidI don't post "poop".

@philokalia saidI am not really interested in your excuses.

@fmf saidI'm sorry to say it, but it doesn't really feel like a winning card you are playing.
Well, the theme is moral incoherence, in fact. That you haven't twigged that ~ despite "the number of threads" ~ is revealing. Talking to sonship about the "perfect morality" at the very core of his torturer god ideology is like finding Colonel Kurtz encamped in a dark forest.
It feels a lot more like just this running theme that derails everything, every time.
@philokalia saidPost as you see fit.

@philokalia saidI'm OK with you not seeing eye to eye with me.
I'm sorry to say it, but it doesn't really feel like a winning card you are playing..
@philokalia saidAbout torture?
Alright, then, so what are the universal values that we have out there?
@philokalia saidYou handing out advice about how to post seems to be your "running theme". Thank you for your advice, but you shouldn't bother on my account.

@divegeester
"do you see what I’m getting at here?"
Indeed I do, and you didn't need to copy/paste the entire passage. I'm thoroughly familiar with the content.
You are over spiritualizing the text.
The bottom line is verse 46.
“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
Eternal punishment and eternal life are real.
Can you understand that?
@philokalia saidIf your comment or question is not about torture, start a thread about it.
Actually, no.
You are talking about how principled you are.
What are those foundational principles?
