fools and bigots as well, but Im sure there are less of those than in evangelical churches.
Just because people choose to fallow the Bible doesn't make them bigots.

Following the Bible doesn't make you foolish.
The Bible says following it makes you WISE.
We all know what the def. of (Fool)ish means.

So why does it say in 1 Corinthians, "For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."?

So how does this:

"True... but I believe John1:9 shows that those who never heard the gospel or the name Jesus are without excuse. "

follow from that verse?

apparently the kingdom of God is within ourselves, so there is no way we would be stopped at the gate.

If one takes the view found in John 1:1-4 then Jesus is God :

In the beginning was the one
who is called the Word.

The Word was with God

and was truly God.

2From the very beginning

the Word was with God.

3And with this Word,

God created all things.

Nothing was made

without the Word.

Everything that was created

4received its life from him,

If Jesus is God, then any who pray to God also are praying to Jesus. If any ask God's forgiveness, then they are asking Jesus. So By whatever method one prays to God, One is still praying to Christ wether they be native American, Muslim, Jewish etc....

still, your statement is moronic and doesn't have any basis.
It does have basis. Jesus himself says this in the Bible. He's simply quoting the Bible!!

I could be wrong... just my thoughts.[/b]
I believe the book of Romans addresses this to some extent. I guess what bothers me is a lot of Christians just come off as so judgmental. If you believe what the bible says than really no one at all deserves to go to heaven including Christians.
