I can attack it quite knowing the facts. Scientology was started on
a bet at a party at John Campbell's house in about 1948 or so.
L Ron Hubbard was a genuine nutcase, on a par with Bobby Fischer.
He was very intelligent, don't get me wrong there. Into physics
and such, advanced degrees but he no more believed in the
underlying theory than the tooth fairy. It was a joke that turned out
to make him extremely rich but he didn't like to pay his taxes and
all of a sudden when the IRS people came looking, he was an instant
lover of the sea and used a large yacht as his sea going base
and called it the Seaorg. I saw his Rongrams I think they were called
and believe me, it was about 80 percent mafia level stuff.
He had one note I personally saw about ex-scientologists who were
by definition now the enemy and he referred to the "45 solution"
meaning shoot them if they cause trouble. I have other stories
about those creepy dudes but thats enough to give you the flavor
of that so-called religion, just like christianity and Islam and Judiasm
meant to first, establish a power base to make the upper officers
rich and isolated and second to control people and women and
    separate them from their money.

I hope no-one takes offense at using the term people and then
women as if they were not people, that was not my intent if you read
that into it. Its just that certain religions seem to take a special joy
in subjugating women. Thats all I meant.

    L. Ron was reincarnated as a fly in a latrine in a temple of monks. He smells poo all day and is aware of other people spending his money. Worst thing for him is, nobody will swat him.

I am one of those "fake illed" people GM is talking about....

Ok, GM, I have a rare schizophernic illness that seriously degrades memory. Your idea, that kids can overcome learning disorders by simply looking up words in the dictionary, is as old as the hills and I've done it myself since 7th grade.

While this may expand your vocubulary, it won't help you one iota (look up that word in the dictionary why don't ya?) in school if you have my kind of illness. Why? Because my problem with reading is not comprehension, it's that I simply forget what I read up, and often I have to re-read again, many times the previous line!

You can only comprehend what you can remember! And guess what? 90% of school grades are based off standardized tests, where you simply remember mass material. So of course, I do terrible at school, never get good jobs, never get women, never maske money, never get a life, etc because of shiatty capitalism, the world's emphasis on stupid tests, and ppl with your narrow like views who think this is all "fake" and can be solved by worshiping some cult...

The problem is very real, and I fail to see what scientology can do to help people like myself, your suggestion of looking in the dictionary simply gives me more stuff to memorize. I feel to see how your hoopla (another dictionary word? Oh wait, it's slang, look in the scrabble dictionary) can cure my memory. If anything, scientology reminds me of the savage ways they treated mental illness 50 years ago, there's nothing new about it, it's old ideas of 50 years ago that just didn't work...
