The Platonic Forms?

I've heard some of their music. It's ok I guess. I just don't really care for the lead singer dude with the nerd glasses and buck teeth that dresses in a peach tutu and pirouettes constantly. Probably the most disturbing thing is, he dresses and performs even more provocatively while on stage. I was just talking about his day-to-day MO.

Anyway cool band, if that's your thing.

I won't ask what he became the Platonic Form for.

Different band. This one just plays one chord but, you know, it's perfect.

First, it should not be surprising that the Vatican is not a neo-liberal organisation. Historically, the Catholic Church has always sided with workers and trade unions. It is only in recent times that there have been prominent Catholic Torries, Liberals or Republicans. The Catholic Church has had to be wary of too close an alliance with Communist parties, w ...[text shortened]... If I remember correctly, I believe it is either the next Pope or the one after
that who will be the last Pope and the evil one that has been prophecied for
the end times. Are you familiar with that?

My buds (though somwhat younger) insist we'll be alive to see the end times. I'm thinking we've got several decades to go at least.

You?

This must be a new band. Sounds like an entertaining band to watch
to me.

P.S. Do you know if they might be on YouTube?

You weren't home-schooled?

You probably think so.

No, it might surprise you, maybe even bother you to know that I went to public school and led a fairly normal life in the suburbs of Atlanta. Went to church maybe once a year, was raised by an Atheist father who married 4 times, and I don't know if Mom was a believer because she died when I was 3. And I spent the first 36 years of my life a militant Agnostic who gained a special satisfaction from beating up on Christians.

And with all of that, I still ended up a Christian.

Scary, isn't it? Seems like no one is safe from the horrible affliction of following Christ and believing the bible.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Yes, it's like a Zombie Apocalypse; hordes in search of brains.

So is this where I'm supposed to disingenuously flail my arms and play the victim card, and claim that you, in bigoted fashion, labeled all Christians to be "brainless?"

That's how the game is played, right?

Then I can claim that you have insulted my family members and go on for a whole paragraph about why I have a "visceral disgust" for you and your ilk.

I'm sure I missed something because I don't play those games (unless I am totally joking).

I'd rather just be honest and forthright... that way I don't have keep notes on what I've said in case I have to defend it. The honest, forthright route does have its disadvantages but I'm not about to change my personality just to score a few points on a silly forum.
