From what I can tell, you and others "reconcile" them by distorting the teachings of Jesus.

If you can reconcile them without changing what Jesus explicitly states, then here's your chance to do so.

You continue to evade this point.

The Sermon on the Mount deals with more than 'oral law'. For example Jesus corrects the following:
ex ...[text shortened]... ath.

17 He who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death.

Do you?
by distorting the teachings of Jesus, like all get out we have! we are the ones doing them, remember the title of the other thread, Matthew 28:19,20, Go therefore Christ states!, an imperative command, not butterflies and dolphins, zebras and rainbows. i would like to know if you are 'doing' those teachings of Christ?

You claimed that you can reconcile the passages I cited earlier with the teachings of Paul. I've been asking you to do that without having to resort to distorting the teachings of Jesus. You continue to avoid doing so.

and which teaching of Christ have we distorted? or are you really interested in our attempt or have you made your mind up already that we shall distort the teachings of Christ? Freudian slip perhaps? not only with the teachings of Paul, but the Bible in its entirety, for we do not hold that there is any contradiction as you do.

Is giving people the run around part of your JW training? That's all I've gotten from you and G. Actually more than a few disparaging remarks as well.

ok, if you do not believe me i shall show you, you really should be less sceptical and more willing to impute pure motives to people. here is what you have posted, with NO scriptural reference

"Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. ...If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

"For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven....you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

If you believe these teachings to be "incoherent" and "distorted", then show how they are.

see that, NO scriptural reference

the only Scriptural reference that you have given as far as i can discern is this,

John 8:32-36
So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."...Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."

is this the one that you would like me to comment upon?

That's one and the other was cited as being from the Sermon on the Mount.
