Beside the aspects of the mental, Humans never evolved at all. One of the major changes that humans underwent was the change in their skin pigmentation over a period of years in extreme cold or extreme heat. That's why there are so many different skin colors.
heres my take on the whole science vs religion debate.the moment you take into acceptance the fact of evolution you are going against the basic teachings of the worlds major religions the same can be said when you acknoledge any modern scientific theory on the creatioN of the universe [just ask the pope if he's read any of darwins work].In the end science will always win.FOR THOSE WHO SAY THAT EVOLUTION CANT BE PROVEN I SAY PROVE TO ME THAT THERE IS A GOD CAUSE THERE SURE IS WAY MORE SCIENTIFIC PROOF TO BACK UP EVOLUTION

Why does religion have to be antagonistic to evolution?
There are many religious people who are scientists - and yet a small and very vocal minority seems to believe that to accept the Bible means rejecting the scientific process, and so reject evolution.
Why is this?
Does it have to be the case?
I can't myself see any conflict between evolutionary and ...[text shortened]... e is read literally which is clearly a ridiculous viewpoint to take.
I've fixed it for you.

How do you know god is there (or even that god exists)?
Please see the "Argumentum Spiritualensis (not serious!)" thread in this forum to see how ridicules your post is.

If humans supposedly evolved from primeapes and over millions of years our bodies were formed into the beings which we are today, Why did our bodies stop evolving? Our bodies have not stopped evolving. Chimpanzees and humans have been evolving away from a common ancestor species for 6.5 million years. That's how long it's taken for that much physical variation to take place. How long have humans been studying this topic? A few hundred years since Darwin; 5000 years since we learned to write. That's nothing. We're not going to see change in such a small time when it takes half a billion years to evolve from the ancestor we shared with chimpanzees.
In addition, humans have learned to use our brains to deal with problems in our lives, so our bodies are less likely to evolve. Our brains will adapt machinery to do what we need well before our bodies would evolve to solve the problem or will consciously via genetic biology modify our genes far faster than evolution would.
However, our bodies will evolve over time despite all this. They will evolve to lessen any causes of infertility or death while fertile.
