If you're the type who goes to heaven, then I'd rather spend eternity scrubbing latrines for Satan.

If you think RJ's bad, you should see some of the people shatting in Hell.

It sure seems to, sometimes.

And yes, I say this as a Christian. I do not know how many conversations I get into after church where I finally have to excuse myself because it's so obvious that the person I'm talking with is as stupid as a brick.

I suspect that's more a function of your being above average intelligence*
than believers at your church being significantly stupider than average.

When this comes up I tend to refer people to Matt Dillahunty from the
Atheist Experience, who has [often] said that when he became an atheist
[while training to become a preacher] he did not get any smarter than he
was when he was a theist.

It's not about intellect, it's what you do with it.

The kind of education you get also makes a huge difference. Untrained raw intellect
will often get it's ass handed to it by highly trained stupidity.

*Probably significantly

Sounds like what I do to you on a daily basis.

Then of course there is untrained stupidity that doesn't know what having it's ass handed to it looks like...

It happens daily in the Debates forum, unfortunately.

For both of you, it's "its".

I know that's what you meant, though. 🙂

Thus, my "it's," to underscore the first point.
