So let's think about this...
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:1 KJV
Jesus is the Word! Unless you don't believe that, then what does it matter? Do you believe it?
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
John 8:58 KJV
If 'I Am' is as you have stated, ...[text shortened]...
Makes sense to me, maybe I am missing something here but, seems pretty starightforward to me.
Perhaps the best way to explain where Jesus is coming from in the passage in question from John 8 is through John 6 where Jesus uses the metaphor of eating His flesh and drinking His blood. In fact, this metaphor is the keystone for understanding much of what Jesus taught while He walked the Earth.
If you're willing to actually engage in a discussion about this, I'm willing. It might be lengthy and you might need to bring some patience to this discussion. If you're interested, start another thread. Looks like there will be the usual DG and RC flotsam here.
I would like some discussion on these verses.
Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. - Philippians 2:5.6
You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I am - John 14:28
Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.’” John 20:17
But I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; in turn, the head of a woman is the man; in turn, the head of the Christ is God. - 1 Corinthians 11:3
But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.- 1 Corinthians 15:28
-Removed-A little lower down it says :
Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
So for you that should read :
Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ/God, seek those things which are above, where Christ/God sitteth on the right hand of God/Christ.
😀
Whatever works for you.

I think I remember you saying that a Christian is one who accepts Christ as his personal saviour. Now as usual you are full of pronouncements [from the church obviously], which do not appear in the Bible.
The Bible has absolutely nothing, not even remotely, about Jesus being a personal saviour. That is complete hogwash designed to fool the gullible Christians looking for an easy salvation .. and there are millions of them.
