Sure. Individuals can be incurious. The irony of Stephen Fry being quoted by Grampy Bobby is that the 'targets' of Fry's quotation arguably include religionists of the Grampy Bobby kind, especially when we bear in mind that Fry is an atheist.

Is that a "yes"or a "no"? What are you afraid of, Grampy Bobby?
An economy of words and selective replies to relevant target questions echoes the silences in the face of self serving agenda questions of the Man who once let His detractors ramble on mindlessly in an open forum while He quietly wrote in the sand.

Benny Hinn has supposedly performed hundreds or maybe thousands miracles which have been witnessed by tens of millions of Christians. This evidence is much stronger and more plentiful than the evidence of Christ's miracles. Why don't you believe in what Hinn does?

but if we are prepared to view people as individuals then the term religionists has no meaning for us. Fry may be an atheist but it has little bearing on how we view him as an individual, surely?

It also betrays someone who is uninterested in reason.

Fact that Fry's quotation is all inclusive makes its truth inescapable. I for one value sententious truthful words.

Comment refers to Christ Himself.

Religionists are people who subscribe to various packages of "spiritual answers" [and, more often than not, some kind of offer of "life after death"]. Atheists don't subscribe to such packages so it's entirely valid for atheists and non-religionists to analyse religionists in terms of what they believe and the religions they adhere to. Fry is an atheist so one of the relevant ways we view him as an individual is that he is not a religionist.

Your comment came across as referring to both Christ and yourself.

I think you are an example of the "incurious" people Fry was referring to. I think this conclusion is "inescapable".

Believers are expected to reflect the Mind of Christ.

If we view people as individuals then we will not be concerned in viewing them through the the lens of some all encompassing appellation like religionist or atheists, surely? we shall simply view them as human.

And yet in our conversation 24 hours ago you did not seem to be treating Papuan people as individuals [they were mere "rice Christians" according to you] or Christian missionaries as individuals whose ministries in PNG you just condemned wholesale as "amateur" and engaged in "bribing" people. I saw very little evidence of you "simply viewing them as human" or as "individuals" yesterday.

Then why do you declare yourself immune from "human" criticism as to whether you are "reflecting the Mind of Christ" effectively or that your attempts may even be counter-productive. Remember, you have told us that yours is a "human viewpoint" and, as such, is "diametrically opposite" to the "divine viewpoint".

Tried that. I believed for many years, and I asked for many years. Nothing happened.
