A man lives a life of sin, he is forever forgiven according to you. Not according to Christ and the Apostles. That man will face the judgment of Chrsit and can face destruction and damnation[/b]

This person was a Christian brother among the other Christian brothers and sisters in the church which was at Corinth.
The Apostle is not teaching that THIS is the way to behave as a Christian. Quite the contrary. He is scolding them for not dealing with the situation.
"It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication ... And you are puffed up? And have not rather MOURNED ... (v.1a,2a)
The appropriate response of the congregation was to MOURN at the pitiful situation. It certainly was not to BOAST of how liberal and inclusive they were. They were told they should rather REMOVE the brother.
"Sorry brother. But we do not think you should attend these gatherings any more as long as you are in this life style. You need to repent. We cannot tolerate that the sinning you are carrying on may spread as a contagious desease. Some of the younger brothers and sisters may be affected.
Please do not come to any more of our gatherings as long as you persist in this sinful state."
He is to be turned over to Satan for the destruction of the old man, ie. the flesh - yet Paul expects that his innermost being, his spirit will be saved at the day of Christ's coming for him.
That is what Paul said. Is it not?
"To deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, THAT ... his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord." (v.5)
The unbeliever will undergo the destruction of all three parts of his being -
spirit and soul and body in the lake of fire.
This subnormal, ABNORMAL believer is in danger of severe discipline. Yet it is short of eternal damnation.
