We were created to resolve the angelic conflict.
and as such the two have nothing to do with each other.
However, I'm intrigued by what you're saying here, so if you will, please explain what you mean by that last sentence.
Oh, and Duh yourself. Front and back.[/b]

I assume you mean my second to last sentence, since you didn't seem to cotton to the actual last one worded sentence.
Millions, possibly billions of years ago, the universe was created.
Sometime after that creation, angels were created.
For an undetermined amount of time, all was good.
Eventually, however, the pinnacle of creation, the most beautiful and magnificent creature, Lucifer, began to over-think his importance.
Outside of God, he was the most revered person of the universe--- and worth it by any and all estimations.
He was, quite simply, spectacular in every regard: brilliance, beauty, charisma.
But as I said, he began to over-think.
The adoration of other creatures coupled with the sheer magnificence of his own being led him to consider himself as at least equal to God in importance.
This opened the door for him to elevate himself a bit further: why should other creatures worship God, when Lucifer was clearly a thing to behold?
He convinced himself and then proceeded to convince others that he should supplant the Most High.
As stated, he was brilliant beyond measure which, when joined with his natural charisma (charm? The personal magnetism he possesses makes Clinton look like a toothless gibberish-speaking urine-soaked homeless man), eventually led to a third of all angels to openly and willingly chose against God.
In a word, rebellion.
God went to pass judgement on Lucifer (now renamed Satan, for deceiver), but he objected to the sentence, declaring it (Lucifer's fall) was inevitable since God had made him that way.
In the interest of complete fairness, God proposed a thought experiment: create a scenario which would principally reproduce the conditions present in what led to the angelic conflict and reveal whether the creature could choose to follow God, if they were free to do so.
Satan won a battle, but has already lost the war... he just doesn't know it yet.
