So who made Satan hate God? I love this blame shift game, it gets everyone off the hook except God.

He certainly helps with the process, but I don't give him that much credit.

Here is that never ending question again......
Satan was a free agent, a spirit that was able to make decisions on his own, and that would include the ability to deside to turn against God.
That was no different then Adam & Eve deciding to go against God's command.
Humans and spirit creatures are NOT robots, we all have the ability to chose what we want to do not matter how stupid it is.

The Bible says he is the "Ruler of this World" does it not? I'd say he deserves a lot of credit for accomplishing that I woiuld think. It's a bad thing to give credit for but he's done it.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you. I will only give credit were it is due. Man chooses his own path. Satan just smooths the way.

Well yes you are right there. Man has really done it up in a bad way too. We can usually see what man does with our eyes, but we can't see satan and that makes him very dangerous...

Oh you can see Satan just fine if you are able to procure the blood of a virgin and recite the proper incantations at the appropriate hour. lol - sorry it's late at night and I've had a few. You people make me laugh.

Your contradicting yourself. My response was to your claim that we are not free agents and that Satan made us hate God. Please make up your mind.

It has yet to be demonstrated that anybody feels 'hate' towards god.

Nope. That was the other thread, "Why Folks Hate the Bible", which josephw started when he was still fuming after what happened to him on another thread that same night. Of course he couldn't answer your question and he looked silly. He then sought to get his act together and started this thread and kicked it off with "Denial of the existence of God is the purest form of hatred for God" - there you go, a non-conventional, ready-made, self-serving, tailored-to-diatribe re-definition of "hatred" that supposedly renders your doughty questioning moot.

And you still don't get it.

"Denial of the existence of God is the purest form of hatred for God".

Why do you think that is wrong?

Why do you think that is wrong?[/b]
Because it's nonsense.

I don't believe that dragons exist, but if they did they would be awesome.

Not thinking something exists has nothing to do with hatred.

And you have not dealt with the question as to whether (given that you believe in
monotheism with only one god in existence and thus don't believe in the existence of any
and all other god concepts) your non-belief in the existence of all other gods apart from
yours means that you hate all the other god's because you deny their existence too...
Even the ones you have never even heard of...

You're just trying to be precious. It's neither funny nor intellectually interesting. Now, please don't lose your temper again. But you know as well as I do that when talking to a group of people with a range of belief systems, many of which do not coincide with yours, to claim that "Denial of the existence of God is the purest form of hatred for God" is sheer sophistry.

I'm not sure something this facile can even qualify as sophistry!
