There is no contradiction. It is "Your foolish pride won’t let you admit it and your foolish pride is once again hindering your walk with Christ.".

You really need to "Take your time and read it over."

ThinkOfOne, you are right that the Gospel message has been perverted. But your kind of remedy is worse than the malady you want to treat.

Your medicine is worse than the illness. You cannot heal the illness by pouring on more germs.

I think you are exploiting departure from orthodoxy to introduce your own anti-christ religion. You are seizing on t ...[text shortened]... s for humanism to build the kingdom of God.

That instead is your God-less tower of idolatry.
Jaywill, I've been advocating for the gospel preached by Jesus during His ministry for a very long time. How can that reasonably be termed as "anti-christ religion"?

I understand that you believe in a very different gospel from the gospel preached by Jesus during His ministry. It is only "pointless" according to the gospel that you adhere to.

I didn't say anything of the kind. You make a lot of erroneous inferences.

It is you who says that a "Christian can sin and still enter heaven", not I. Why do you so often project your beliefs onto others?

What I wrote was this:
Of course Christians can and do continue to commit sin.

However, true disciples of Jesus are made free of committing sin. See John 8.

If you would have looked at John 8, you would have seen:
John 8
34Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin.
31 ...“If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
35“The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever.

Those who continue to sin do not "remain in the house forever".
Only those who no longer commit sin "remain forever". Those are His true disciples.

You brought up the issue of there allegedly being "God haters" - people who believe in "God" but who "hate" him - in this community. You brought it up. Not me, nor anyone else. If you now seek to distance yourself from this smear of unnamed persons, just say so.
I stand by the statement.

Anyone who spends a decent amount of time reading these threads would arrive at the same conclusion, provided he or she actually believes in God and is not simply here to whizz in the pool and poison our community.

The reason that you could not show one post where rajk999 has claimed that he is "living a sin-free life" is because he never made any such claim. Your claim is false.

The truth is that you have inferred that "he is claiming to be living a sin-free life". You cannot validly assert that an inference made by you is the same as a claim by him. .
You didn’t respond to my post.

He has claimed to be s Christian. He said a Christian cannot sin (although he apparently is now backing off this statement.)

If he is a Christian, as he has said, and a Christian cannot sin, as he has also said, he is obviously claiming to be living a sin-free life.

Actually, I did respond to your post. Read my response again.

Are you now speaking for raj?

Refresh my memory: Are you an atheist or Christian? It’s hard to keep track of who’s what in this forum since so many self-professed Christians and atheists in here preach false doctrines.

So, are Rajk999 and ThinkOfOne two of the "God haters" you were talking about yesterday?

Or can't you remember which posters are the ones that resulted in you making a statement that you nevertheless "stand by" and despite you suggesting that you are someone "who spends a decent amount of time reading these threads"?

No. I'm saying that I read what he wrote and that there is no contradiction.

I'm saying that you are the one who is guilty of "foolish pride", not him. You're a hypocrite.

I already addressed this and it’s clear you either didn’t read what I wrote, didn’t comprehend it or are just whizzing in the pool.

What was the purpose of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice if not for the forgiveness of sins? You’ve got a real mental block in acknowledging you’re a sinner.

So you won’t answer if you’re an atheist or Christian?

Interesting...

More whizzing in the pool...

Wouldn’t you rather discuss something substantive?

Just remember: Trolls are the disease, and I’m the cure.

Nice!

You introduced the notion of "God haters" into the conversation. Was it "substantive" when you did so?

Not as substantive as "whizzing in the pool". Now there's real substance there.
