I watch the games; the tackling and coverage in the Big 12 is awful. We'll see what these "high octane" offenses do against good defenses in other BCS conferences.
It looks like it is set.
OU #1 vs Florida #2

Mack should have been compaigning against Florida instead of OU. He even voted Florida number one.

Perhaps the our loss was better than Florida's loss would have resonated with a few people. I would have loved to have seen an OU vs Texas rematch. But now it looks like we have a chance to see exactly how over rated Big XII offenses are and how terrible Big XII defenses are.

You just don't get it, and you never will.
I get it.
He couldn't put OU above Texas because Texas defeated OU.
He couldn't put Texas above Tech because Tech defeated Texas.
Oops, he did put Texas above Tech. I guess that head to head stuff really doesn't work too well.
The vegas lines have been released on the game:
Florida is opening up as the dog by 1.5. The line has now moved and now OU is the favorite by 3. I guess alot of people are betting on OU.
I am not a fan of either team, but the biggest joke is listening to Texas fans whine. Oklahoma played a tougher schedule than Texas beating both Cincinnati (big east winner) and TCU while Texas played no one. Schedule should always be rewarded. Furthermore since when is a game in your own home state a neutral game.
Originally posted by no1marauderLet's just say that OSU has a better chance against Texas than Penn State has against USC. The Big 12 simply does not have very good defenses and I think OSU may have the best defense they face this year. In addition, it was only several years ago that OSU beat Texas at home as #1 while Texas at the time was #2. Granted, much has changed since then but the fact remains that the Big Ten seems to fair much better against the Big 12 than the SEC. The big questions will be, does OSU have enough offense to do the job, which I'm not sure it is, and is the defense as good as I think it is?
If it winds up Ohio State playing them, expect another Big Ten embarrassment.
Originally posted by EladarIf you ask me, that is some eeeeeasy money!! Florida beat #1 Alabama without even having their best offensive player on the field. In addition, the Big 12 simply has no clue what a real defense is and will soon be humbled by the mighty SEC "D". In addition, Florida has the better offense in my opinion as Teebow should win another Heisman if there is any justice left in college football.

I had forgotten that Stoops was D-coordinator for UF back in the late 90's. Somewhat ironic.. UT and others can complain, but no 2 teams dominated their games like Florida and Oklahoma over the past 2 months.
Also, they're playing in Miami, much more of a home game for UF than for Okee, but not as much as some may think. South Fla is largely dominated by Hurricane fans, remember that tiny school in Coral Gables? They tend to despise the Gators..
I can't wait, Hail Gatornation!!!
Originally posted by quackquackResearch your topic a bit before you post. OU did play a tougher non conference schedule, although Texas did play and beat a very good Rice team. However, in conference play, Texas played and beat Missouri and Kansas who the OU gang did not play during the regular season. Couple that with the fact that the OU fans can't talk their way around...they got their loss at the hands of Texas, by 10 points, on a neutral field. OU can't defend their position except their stand "that they beat Texas Tech".

Regarding your comment on schedule, the non-conference teams are scheduled years in advance and when OU schedule makers came up with Cincy and TCU, Cincy was a botttom feeder and TCU was middle of the road, but geographically close being from Ft. Worth. As you know, football is a revenue sport, so most of the major powers want home games for their non conference games to receive a better gate. They dodn't usually schedule home and home dates unless it is with another major power to guarantee the large gate split in order to offset the travel costs. Don't think they were doing it because they knew they would be good.

Ole Miss will win. Bank on it.

Obviously you never learned what the word "another" as in "another BCS conference" meant.
Edit: Since you are a lawyer, I expected a little more from you. Perhaps you aren't a litigator.
