Nah! Kate started like gangbusters and ended up about the same as me. She picked bowl games by cuter uniform.

Be serious: in Seattle in January the average high is 53 and the average low is 35. You get an average of 8.5 inches of snow per year.

Chicago in January has an average high of 30, an average low of 15 and the wind blows like crazy. Plus they average 11 inches of snow just in January alone.
I've been living here for quite a while and the last few years have been chilling. This year is also a la nina year so it is much colder than average.

Hate to bother you with facts but:

Temperatures for January 1 - 13 are averaging 2.7 degrees below normal ---

Your lowest high was still warmer than Chicago's average one. And your lowest temperature all year has been 25 which is 10 degrees warmer than Chicago's average daily low.

High tomorrow is forecast as 22F. Winds 5-15mph. So perhaps weather will play less a role than we think. Also snow today, but none tomorrow!

You picked the Packers and Steelers? I thought you picked Atlanta and Ravens. I picked Packers and Steelers. That does not mean either of us will be right tomorrow, although odds are I will be since 10.5 dogs rarely win. We'll see! Steelers game was great. I hate blowouts like the Packers'!

Nope to summarize my predictions I said the Falcons would be rusty after a week off and the Ravens defense will have trouble with Big Ben so will not be able to offset the crappy offense.

Hope both games are good. I hate lopsided wins in any sport. Good luck to your Hawks. I actually have some Chicago roots so I root for the Bears. My 15 y.o. loves the Patriots so I root for them as well.

Its not looking so good right now. The hawks are down 14 but that's not insurmountable.

Indeed not insurmountable, but less likely against a D like the Bears'! I take that back. 21-0 will be really, really tough to come back from. Losing time of possession game also.

Hawks are no Steelers! 0-5 on 3rd down and with receivers suffering dropsy? Doubtful. Hasselbeck is putting the ball where it needs to be and the Hawk receivers are dropping everything. Don't seem like they're adjusting to a slippery field either. I will say you are the eternal optimist!

Also, losing their tight end does not bode well since they only have one more TE and an unproven one at that. Should greatly impact the running game. Now pinned at the one. I forsee at least a saftey in the making.
