My post was directed at lemondrop, mainly in gest, because he seems to "adore" Tom Brady, and I don't think it's because of football. 😀

    But I could be wrong?
    I don't swing that way
    however
I think that Favre is a better looking man

    Agreed.
I wonder sometimes why athletes let themselves fall apart after they retire, and stop working out all together.

    could be pain from injuries
a lot of it's due to over eating and getting lazy
depression may also be a factor
from the glory days long past

Men who are comfortable with their own masculinity would NOT post this nonsense.

It's a well known fact that people comment on Tom Brady's looks, and not just his football stats.

    Just having some light-hearted fun.

I get what you’re saying and it is true to a certain extend, to my knowledge there’s no salary cap in baseball, just like football, meaning the teams with money can buy success. The thing about baseball though, it’s more a team game and little clubs can and do succeed more so than in football. The Leicester season will go down in history as the biggest shock but the teams with ...[text shortened]... ave lean years so while it’s similar it’s more important in football I think, easier to buy success.
I wouldn't say baseball was more of a team game than soccer but that's a different argument. If a team have a particularly talented pitcher for example, he will have more influence on the game than a talented striker in soccer because although he has the support of his fielders and catcher,he is basically performing as an individual.Similarly with a consistent hitter.

Most soccer teams have 2-4 strikers in their squad with one main striker playing as much as possible, someone all games. Baseball has a rotation of pitchers, one won't win you a championship but one star striker might.

I don't really know enough about any of these sports to quote any stats to support my arguments, but my instincts tell me there's not a lot of difference from the team game perspective. Both can rely on good individual performances both in attack and defence supported by the rest of the team.
That's probably true for all team sports actually.
