I placed a few coins on double chance Almería win or draw with Barcelona,
which paid handsomely, and a few more in Sevilla winning or drawing
against Madrid (they're 1-0 ahead as we speak)

I call those tiny bets against all odds my "insurance". If they happen,
they make up for mistakes somewhere else. If they don't, they
hurt little because they're small.

nice... i do the same sometimes, fancied burnley to score against arsenal so put a whooping 25p on an arsenal 3-1 and 4-1 win at 35-1 and 100-1. last minute goal paid out a huge £9 😵

haven't saw the highlights yet but from what i've heard they should've hit 7 or 8.

should've put it on deportivo when i saw them one down at home to tenerife... oh well.

I went down on two but if Sevilla wins and Palermo wins, those two plus
the Almería draw against Barcelona will send me on a positive balance.

Want to make a last minute extra buck? I say Atlético will go down and
at least in Bwin it is paying good. Zaragoza's new striker, Suazo, is
starting to score and the team is starting to recover. Atlético is way too
irregular and with the exception of the match against Valencia, they simply
can't pull it up in the league as they do in the Europa Cup and the local Cup.

i really hope they win la liga this year... what was barce thinking swapping eto'o for ibrahimovic plus x amount of millions?

i agree with zaragoza though, will have a look tomorrow morning and might do a little bet. i find my mind sometimes changes so going to wait until match day to do my bets from now on.
