I was last 1308 or something on Mar 28, so yes, that is almost nine months.




And no, I haven't played enough games to go insane, either. But I guess if I had OCD, it wouldn't be a problem. When my rating started dropping in Feb, I had over 100 games going, which is quite enough to make me go insane. But I went into the hospital in Feb, and that lost me a bunch of games. I feebly tried to ameliorate that loss, but then my dad died in April and between that and general burnout from playing so many games, I believe I timed out on all the ones I had going.

So now I'm trying to balance between jumping into more games and burning out because I have too many.

Plus, I might have an easier time getting back over 1300 if I was a little better at chess, or maybe if my concentration was better.

Contestants had no say in which tournament I put them in. It was my decision and Russ okay'd it.

That would be a good idea except that I announced in advance that the players would vote on the prize - that way the players would all know what they were playing for in advance of who wins.
