    Tournament 19582

Johannes Goethe also resigned all his games.

group 9 saw short draws of the highest rated payers 🙁

At least go 10 moves! 😠

I hope some how someone else wins that group!

They should have been on the honor system and resigned in one each to get 3 points instead of 2. 😲

luke myster has resigned his games against both Mihai52 and TheBigKat. Saves time I suppose.

He's made the final group already!

I admire how he can finish games off with a touch of class,
take this one from rd. 2, with a neat little combo from move 26.

I just hope he brings his A+ game for the engines he'll be playing against in the final.

    Late twists in group 9!

    http://www.redhotpawn.com/tournament/view.php?tid=19582&rndid=2&groupid=9&issummaryview=#

TheBigKat has drawn another game, meaning that should mihai52 win his last remaining game -
and it could very well happen by timeout, as patrick is on vacation and has under 3 days left -
mihai will advance and TBK goes out... and we'll be sure to have a new champ! 😀

I knew that those two draws would comeback to haunt one or both of them. Ha! Souls have played at least 10 moves out and to give us a game to study!

Why draw when TBK beat m52 in 2012?

Also why pay basically to play in a big Tournament and then draw after 4 moves!?

Also nice to see that even if a player had a rating of less than 1450 for the first 300sth games on this side, can just turn around things and dominate one of the group's... development in chess can be really quick.

A lot of edits until I got it right. As you might observe most former champions have been banned or left the site.

I've just noticed that mihai52 is now a standard user - no longer a sub.

How will this effect the tournament?
Will someone else go through, or does he still go through but forfeit every game?
