Group 3: cludi scored 30/30

Group 7: Neither M1sty nor caissad4 have lost a game (M1sty has completed all but her games with caissad4).

Group 8: Kaoslos scored 30/30

Group 10: porygon has one game in progress but has won all others to secure a spot in round 2.

Group 11: ZorroTheFox leads with 24 pts but XanthosNZ has not lost a game yet either.

Group 12: Thecyl controls his own destiny with 2 games still in progress (defeated TonyTiger 4-1)

Group 16: arrakis scored 28/30 to advance.

Group 20: dsarge30 advances with 28/30 (all games in this group are complete)

Group 22: zebano advances with 25/30. Imnotkasparov has 19/24 and can also advance by winning out.

Group 24: Varenka advances by sweeping the field 30/30

Group 27: In an upset pompomtom (6-0 over scrumpymanjack) scores 27/30 to advance but was himself upset by ColH the lowest rated of the bunch

Group 29: In a minor upset RookGrabber defeats Marko Krale 6-0 to advance (27/27 with 1 game in progress)

Group 30: Check This scores 27/27 to secure a spot in round 2.

Group 33: blackmanrook advanced with 2 draws. 26/30

Group 35: rpines wins with 27/30

Group 36: Both Nicholls and Smiffy score 27/30 to advance.

This is what happens when you completely mindblank at the wrong moment. Rh7+ would leave me easily in control of the game. Nxe4 on the other hand allows mate in two.

Only 2 games remain, and neither will affect who advances. I thought to submit a couple of games from my group but every time I play over them, I spot a new blunder. =/

Now only one game left. When the next round starts, I'll draw up a list of players who were eliminated from round 1, but who I'll still be considering for the merit prize.
