When a provisional player has a rating of 1750+, Doesn't really make it a reasonable event.
I am in 4 Tournaments, but wont be going in for any more. I don't mind losing, but would like to think everybody has a chance, not someone who shouldn't even be playing because they are still provisional players.

Actually the problem is greater than this. I am new to the site and expect my rating to settle down between 1700 & 1800 in due course. At the moment I am playing weaker players and winning. To get better games I got rid of my p rating as quick as possible then entered tournaments for 1450 - 1500, then as my rating increased 1500 - 1600 and finally 1600 -1700. Now I am playing in all 3. Shortly I hope to enter 1800 - 2000. If I ever enter 2000+ I shall be amazed.
At least the weaker players are getting a good game and who knows I could lose a few - its not all going my way
I am a provisional player with 15 games completed. After one day of playing at RHP I payed my dues which one benefit is to play in tournaments. However, I could not and still cannot enter into banded tournaments due to my provisional status. This does not bother me as I understand that these tournaments are for players that have an established rating. However there are a few tournaments (Grouped Random and unbanded) that I am allowed to play in as a SUBSCRIBING member. The reason I joined so quickly is I saw that alot of players that do not subscribe just "time out" when they are down in the game. Wow! what a "true" rating I am getting with those games!
