@shortcircuit said@shortcircuit,
If you want to take that tack, then I think you place even harsher limits like, all clans must play ALL clans. If you don't play each clan 3 times, you get no more challenges beyond that. We have too many duckers in here as it is. They refuse to play because they have a hard on against another team or clan leader, of because they are afraid to match. Have you ever played ...[text shortened]... he game, get rid of the villain, but then there is nothing left to gripe about. A conundrum indeed!!
I gave you a thumb up and I agree with ALMOST everything you said.
Only one thing I don't agree with is that Clans be forced to play other Clans, sometimes Clan leaders just can not come to an agreement on the parings. We have seen this happen on more than one occasion.
Not much anyone can do IF grudges are held. Everyone is human and everyone has feelings. Why force Clans to play each other if the two Clan leaders can't come to an agreement on the Challenge would be my one and only question.
Who then would make the Challenge if the two leaders couldn't come to an agreement? This has been a big issue for many years in my humble opinion.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidI gave you a thumb up. I don't understand why people would thumb that down. Unless it is just a personal dislike of the poster, not what was said. I have many thumbs down thrown my way, because of who I am not what I said. 🙂 Just let that fly by like the wind, my old friend.
I think we all can agree on that.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidYou are smart I'll give you that Ghost. But Very Rusty put it perfectly, in detail, for all to read and understand. I have to go with his opinion. And Ghost, it's not because he is on Breaking Bad Clan. Nothing to do with it. Very Rusty and myself disagree on many things. But what he said makes a lot of sense and I believer he is correct on all he said.
What if the new rules had a lower fixed limit on how many challenges could be played in a given year? (Agreed amongst Clan leaders) - This would take some of the urgency and speed out of games and increase the time studying positions and developing our play, as the shift would be made from quantity to quality with the need to win the individual challenge more importan ...[text shortened]... mes, viewing none of them as unimportant.
Or do you not think you could win under those rules?
sincerely,
Michael

@A-Unique-Nickname saidI have not once disagreed with Rusty in here. Never happened. You and your followers, now that is a different story. I disagreed with just about everything.
This is where your post should have ended. As far as I'm concerned the topic had already died with Rusty and I agreeing to disagree and move on.
We won't change opinions here, it's like the debates forum. Time to shake hand and say enjoy 2025.
Now we can move on.
Have a nice day.
@shortcircuit saidFinally.... I was waiting for you to put your thoughts on it. As always well done and very articulate.

@Michael-Martin saidPerfection is seldom rusty.

@Very-Rusty saidThis is a FACT. I have to give in sometimes in order to ensure challenges later on. The FACT is two leaders can not always agree on a match and now for me, I'm the easiest person who will find a way to get that challenge on and moving. But there are a few clans that we just can't agree. I'll play anyone. But it can't be one way it has to be a compromise. BB will play anyone that is willing to play fair and allow both leaders to have their say in the challenge and who is paired up with whom.

Rusty is again was spot on correct with this. Leaders don't even play some leaders, some will only give them a few players to play while they give others a ton of players in a challenge, and others can't agree because of no compromise.
And then there is the popularity contest.
In any case, Rusty hit it right on the head and said it perfectly. I know it to be FACT because I set up the challenges and talk to the leaders. He is spot on.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidOf course and you should give your ideas, you are a highly intellectual person. I have no issues with it. 🙂
Just floating an idea old chap.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidNow see, this is where you being smart loses its potency. It's just silly jabs at a person who most likely had been around longer than you not to mention all the other sites where he does a lot of good, why the jabs? Very Rusty has been perfect on many of his ideas and unless you have run clans as long as he has or been on sites as long as he has, or dealt with all the personalities he has, I could go on, the point is, most of what I see is spot on perfect remarks. Again, I know because I lead a clan, work hard, and come across all the leaders.
Perfection is seldom rusty.
No reason for jabs. Have more class than that.
@Michael-Martin saidI disagree with your assessment of Rusty. And when you speak of showing class, do you think he shows that himself when he belittles the lower ratings of other players (something I have seen him do numerous times in the GF).

I don't expect you to answer that objectively.

When was the last time I did that and who was it to? Diver, we have since made up and he and I are getting on fine now, you will be happy or not to know. We are having a fun game and a nice conversation. Don't throw rocks at glass houses when you live in one yourself. You Sir, are not always a Gentleman. May name is not Dorothy? by the way, as you are quite aware, that is just simply a rude thing to say.
EDIT: We both know you called me that and we know where you did it, where no one else would see it, because it would make you look bad.

Where the heck did that come from?
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidMost likely from the same place your RUDE comment about calling me Dorothy came from!!!!
