I've often wondered why so many of the movies based on King's novels get panned so badly by the critics?
Carrie
The Shining
The Shawshank Redemption
Stand By Me
The Dead Zone
The Running Man
Misery
The Green Mile
I enjoyed all these. The Shining, Shawshank, Stand By Me, Carrie and The Running Man I have seen at least 2 or 3 times each.

That TV movie about the silver gobblers that ate time---what was that one?
I've often wondered why so many of the movies based on King's novels get panned so badly by the critics? I've watched Dead Zone, Cujo, Thinner and while they won't win any Oscars, I found them entertaining enough.
