Should we discuss this. There were a lot of vague color people on my last flight, and I saw black people driving cars, meaning they all had photo IDs. Meaning voter ID, with which to Matt up with voter rolls.
176 countries of all different distinctions have this one thing in common.
None of you come across with a simple explanation of why you do not want that as well, for the world‘s greatest country.
@AverageJoe1 saidWho cares. This bs post has been debated to death already. Add this to your many dumbass posts.

Not that weight is given to a mixed bag of people doing their best to convey ideas with their words, making many grammatical errors.
No weight. Nobody cares.
Susie made a mistake last November and I did not point it out, because I was more interested in learning what you really want to say. I think you did not capitalize an ‘I’ , but I respected your comments, and the little bitty i meant nothing, I was so interested in your point of view on tranee.
I respected your post. The forum demands respect..

...why you do not want that...
Because it's an expensive, unnecessary inconvenience and no one has presented any sort of convincing argument why we need voter ID.
@wildgrass saidIf showing an ID is such a serious inconvenience, what evidence is there that large numbers of eligible voters are unable to obtain one? Most Americans already possess some form of government-issued photo identification. So you are disingenuous....why you do not want that...

The forum has told you 30 times that everybody has to flash photo ID pretty often for driving, the library , cigarettes ….don’t bore us with that any longer. Of course exceptions could be made for the infirmed. Don’t bore with me with that either there’s a way. Doing that would be secondary to requiring photo ID for everyone else.
And, whether voter fraud is common or rare isn’t really my question. My question is simpler: if a person is required to prove who they are for many important transactions, why is it unreasonable to prove who they are when casting a ballot?”
And you know the reason why we want to know who is voting, so I don’t ask such a stupid question. I find it very mysterious and queer your little fellas could care as who steps up to a voting booth, and don’t tell me there’s no fraud. Fraud is increasing exponentially, you yourself have probably received a text or email today trying to hook you. You are disingenuous..
I’ll get tired of writing about this pretty soon as I will that thread y’all have going on history of Eisenhower and deficits and debt. I noticed that you skip right over my simple analogy that a credit card has a balance, and then they send out a bill for a monthly payment, which are two different things. Skipped right over it. Disingenuous.
But you are not disingenuous to show yourself as a socialist. A socialist by nature would not want to restrict anyone from voting because the ones that would be the non-ID bearing people would be dependents…..slaves.
@AverageJoe1 saidI did not say that it is a bad idea only that you need to provide some basic rationale before committing the time from every single US citizen and the expense thereof.

Over 10 years watching the dumbest ever version of the "rigged election" timeline pan out, with zero evidence provided (remember "release the kraken" BS?" ) somehow none of you were ever able to provide a rationale for your feelings.
Just today Mike Johnson (speaker of the house) was pretending to be a sooth sayer without need of evidence to know for a fact that elections were rigged.
Y'all are sad. Anyone still *****ing about Trump election fraud in 2026 does not care about reality.
@wildgrass saidGranted fraud is not prevalent. Many ‘new crimes’ have popped over the last century, and voter fraud could be the next new crime just like all of the text that all of our grandparents are receiving to say please send $5000 to Nairobi. These are new crimes. So we need to nip it in the bud. I think that given the nature of election news being prevalent in the society that it is right to be defrauded and we need to do all we can in advance to make it harder and harder for criminals to get involved in election. How about photo ID? I really don’t care if you want to continue to be obstinate, disingenuous, and boring. I don’t wanna write about this anymore as I am quite correct. I bet one the Nairobi slime gets millions of dollars from our grandparents with texting fraud, so we will try to devise our way to eliminate that fraud. Then I will begin a new discussion with you about. Maybe we should do photo ID for elections. Now, do you get the picture, as Susieannie likes to say?

Is it law to carry an ID on you in the States?
In most of Europe that is the law. So everyone has some form of ID.
So, to obligate the use of an ID to vote is not an issue.
If there is no law obligating you to actually have an ID, then there are a ton of civil rights arguments to not use it as a tool in elections.
And everyone knows who this is targetting.
To impliment it structurally, the US would need to suggest: from 2031 onwards, an ID will be required to vote.
So that people have time to adjust and get their affairs in order.
Yes everyone has an id, and with the influx of immigration and such of course you should have to show it. These people are motivated to vote democratic by dems opening the doors and all the free stuff we can’t seem to give our homeless. Every time I vote in my town in Texas I’m asked for an I’d and they check me off of a list.
@mike69 saidREAL ID: About 66% of American adults possess an official REAL ID-compliant form of identification.Passports:

Just under 50% to 53% of Americans hold a valid U.S. passport.
A quick google search.
That’s not good enough to make it obligatory for voting.
