@shavixmir saidHere is a list of the acceptable forms of photo ID:
Does a driving license count as a proper ID?
Texas Driver License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
Texas Personal Identification Card issued by DPS
Texas Handgun License issued by DPS
United States Military Identification Card containing the person’s photograph
United States Citizenship Certificate containing the person’s photograph
United States Passport (book or card)
With the exception of the U.S. Citizenship Certificate, which does not expire, for voters aged 18-69, the acceptable form of photo identification may be expired no more than four years before being presented for voter qualification at the polling place. For voters aged 70 or older, the acceptable form of photo identification may be expired for any length of time if the identification is otherwise valid.
@shavixmir saidA good question, I would have to say at the moment that if it is a government issued state license that has thePHOTO on it that will work.

It is all we are asking for . Marauder implies we should put people through what he calls expensive and inconvenient process. Marauder with a bit of propaganda himself. Don’t listen to him.!!!!😆
@AverageJoe1
Yes, I just had to renew because mine expired almost a year earlier. I had to show my old license and have an official state certified copy of my birth certificate to get my new license.
@shavixmir saidUnder SAVE, you could not register to vote just with a Driver's License because it does not show citizenship.

@mike69 saidTexas left out Student ID's, even one issued by State institutions, but included handgun permits. That's because college students tend to be "liberal" and gun permit holders to be "conservative". This is exactly the type of political chicanery right wingers engage in to gain advantages with voters photo ID laws.

@mike69 saidMarauder would say they must have put you through hell and great inconvenience. You see, he thinks everyone has a right to everything……when it is a privilege to get a drivers license.

Plus, liberals need to learn that you have to work and sometimes be inconvenienced to attain what you are looking for.
@no1marauder saidThis one says that we are taking Advantage with voter ID laws, he can truly think of anything. I can see marauder as a Barker at a carnival. Just a’talking it up.

If marauder is reading this, this may help. Someone who is a member of some entity or organization has a right to vote in that organization, but we have to be sure ,don’t we of who that person is.Riiiiiigght?
That the person is inconvenienced to show Proof means nothing to the entity. Entity just want to be sure who he is . But You want to be sure that his feelings are not hurt when they ask him to show them who he is..
The cop who pulled me over this morning, wanting to know who I am(imagine that) asked for my drivers license. It was in my suitcase in the back. That was a tremendous inconvenience for me to dig that license out. It took several minutes.
Marauder can argue a case on that. He has proven it today with his inane writing..

Voting is a right, per the US Constitution.
If ID is required to vote, then, since voting is a right, then ID sufficient to satisfy the Voting Commissars should be provided by the State, which would make it (are you following me here?) a right.
@AverageJoe1 saidOnly idiots keep there drivers license in a suitcase. I say idiots shouldn't be able to vote.

@Suzianne said? Which would make What a right? We have established that voting is a right. As you say in first sentence. Boy, that settles that. Thankyou.

Then you say that voter ID ‘should be provided’ by the state. (🤔) Should it? I’m not so sure that I do follow Susieanne…… what state, as part of the voting process, provides, as a right of the citizen, a voter ID?
In what state do citizens have a Right to a state provided voter ID? You are saying that citizens do have a right to a state issued voter ID, and I would like for you to explain yourself because many many people read all of your posts.
As I see it, citizens do not have a right to a state issued voter ID. Shall we discuss?
@AverageJoe1
The US leads the world in gun deaths. #1! Ban abortions to protect the unborn so that they can be gunned down in primary school by an assault weapon. Outstanding!
