@shavixmir saidI disagree with that number, You can get a state issued I’d card very cheap or drivers as most every adult drives. You use an I’d throughout your life. The da people that say blacks don’t have ids is very insulting to these people.
REAL ID: About 66% of American adults possess an official REAL ID-compliant form of identification.Passports:
Just under 50% to 53% of Americans hold a valid U.S. passport.
A quick google search.
That’s not good enough to make it obligatory for voting.

@shavixmir saidYou’re saying 53 percent of people don’t have passports, only 13 percent less than a state issued I’d or drivers license which is simple to get and used for many things in life. The small percentages between these two wouldn’t be that close. Common sense tells you these numbers are bs. I can understand the passport number, not all can afford or like to travel and it cost much more.

You cannot make this up.
@Suzianne saidI agree.

It seems a hell of a lot of people don’t have official ID’s.
So, I stand by my opinion that, yes, you can obligate the use of ID’s in voting, but you have to give people 5 years to be ready for the change.
And how are you going to do the postal votes? That has to be arranged as well.
@mike69 saidWell, don’t agree with the numbers.

But tell us which numbers you have then?
@shavixmir saidNo law to carry id.
Is it law to carry an ID on you in the States?
In most of Europe that is the law. So everyone has some form of ID.
So, to obligate the use of an ID to vote is not an issue.
If there is no law obligating you to actually have an ID, then there are a ton of civil rights arguments to not use it as a tool in elections.
And everyone knows who this is targetting.
To i ...[text shortened]... an ID will be required to vote.
So that people have time to adjust and get their affairs in order.
@wildgrass saidHow many
Even Republicans are saying rigged elections are more of a feeling than a real thing. Vibes.
Mike johnson said it's so big that it can't be proven. How does your brain interpret that?
@AverageJoe1
World's greatest country? Hmmm. Switzerland is ranked the best overall country in the world. Netherlands is number 1 for quality of life, Finland maybe contesting that rank. USA? Not even close.

@Fzek47 saidGreatness is in the eyes of the beholder. Did you behold that two drone boats, no one aboard, went out into the open sea, avoiding mines, etc. and found two pilots floating safely and brought them home? Neither Switzerland, Finland, Romania or Canada has ever made anything like that. And if they do, it will be a copy of what we do. Everyone copies us.

I can write pages, like who would Mars call the greatest country? Of course, if Mars is flower children or faeries, Fzeks or dependents, Mars would name all of those countries. Then I would step up and say these countries would call our country if they were attacked by a larger country!!!!!!. So I ask you now which would you say given those facts is the greater country.?
Yes, I am aware of that list, my coffee club guys had a great laugh, reading it over a year or so ago. I wish I could remember some of the comments. One of them makes better coffee I think than we do..
I seem to recall the list was all about happiness and not having to work very hard and things like that. The United States people generally work very hard and get real rich and it pisses all the other countries off. I have to run to work now.!!!!! Workyworky.
We do have a downside, though it appears that our country is stupidly paying for food, shelter, and healthcare for people who have illegally broken into our country. That shows a tremendous weakness and has made our country a lesser country, although we excel. You might say that China has more electric cars. Ha, we are in the processing of getting rid of all of our electric cars, so which country is the best.? I don’t get me started about oil. Is your country energy free?
If you want to tell us a better country, tell us the highlights they have that we don’t..
Uhhhh, you Canada, are ya?
Canada:
“excessively long wait times for specialized care, a severe shortage of primary care physicians, high tax burdens, and geographic inequities.”
My physician decided I needed a new knee on Monday and on the following Monday it was done. I really hated to wait so long, I had a golf game the next Monday.. but the expertise was so perfect. I was playing again in three weeks.
