@metal-brain saidEither way works for me. These people were thieves who used their positions of power to steal billions from the Russian people. This money should have been used for pressing domestic needs.

@mchill saidWorth pointing out that their families were butchered alongside them.

My guess would be It’s either a case of the Russian mafia had some reason to make an example of them or Putin did. The fact that their wives and daughters were also butchered leans me toward this being a stark message for an audience of oligarchs.

"Neither of the men were on an international sanctions list in the Ukraine-Russia conflict."
So it's quite possible their deaths were not politically motivated.

@vivify saidOh, please. A massacre like that is a mere murder-suicide? Twice!?

If they were not on a sanctions list, they either refused to call Putin's war of mass-murder justified, or even actively denounced it. Therefore, they were definitely on Putin's $#!&-list. And we all know how handy long-toed, short-fused Putin is with the Novichok and the KGB agent.

@vivify saidPerhaps Putin wondered why they were not on the sanctions list, it’s also a possibility that they were a couple of Putin’s bag men who dropped the ball in some way or even embezzled from the embezzler in chief.

We may never know why this happened but foul play for sure, I don’t much care what happens to these gravy train robbers but wives and daughters being hacked up is a disgusting retribution whatever their crimes.
@shavixmir
What does Garch mean?
GARCH is a statistical modeling technique used to help predict the volatility of returns on financial assets. GARCH is appropriate for time series data where the variance of the error term is serially autocorrelated following an autoregressive moving average process.
Makes perfect sense🙂
Now you know🙂

Oleg Tinkov, who was one of the sanctioned oligarchs, openly criticized Putin's war, calling it "crazy" and called the Russian military a "sh.t army".
Tell me: If Putin is behind their deaths, why wasn't that guy killed? He's openly making a mockery of Putin.
The dead oligarchs weren't sanctioned and thus had no reason to speak out against the war, unlike Oleg. So it's unlikely that oligarchs who probably got rich through association with Putin all of a sudden took a moral stance contradicting Putin to a degree that prompted murder.
I'm not saying it's impossible; Putin's the kind of man who'll murder journalists. But many of Putin's known victims were also dissidents; so far, there's no indication these oligarchs were.
I agree that two such murders happening to oligarchs in that time span obviously reeks of foul play. I'm just saying that as of now there's no indication these oligarch's deaths are connected to Putin...not that I'd be surprised if they were.
@mchill saidWhat about the American oligarchs? Do you hate them too?

Should we wish for their deaths?
Did you even read the article I posted. It wasn't just the oligarchs. Their wives and children were killed too. Did they deserve death? Just how deep is your apathy?
