In tijuana I used to be able to get a bucket of 6 beers in ice and a hot senorita under the table for $5. Those were the good old days
Was that at the Chicago Club? or the Texas Club? Tijuana, Mexico in the early 80s was great! Now, you can get a hummer and your throat slit at the same time....kind like cumming and going all at once.....😲

well, the new controversial law came into effect today in the UK allowing pubs, clubs, restaurants and supermarkets to sell alcohol 24 hours a day may sound good to some (mainly our alcoholics) but to others this is just plain stupidity. Makes me wonder why this has been allowed surely it has nothing to do with the incredibly overtaxed beer? or maybe the g ...[text shortened]... edics, nurses and the police it still went ahead.
so what does everone else think? Good or bad?
Good. Freedom is good.

If you are around next Tue i can meet you for a pint if you like, pm me.
'Twas but hypothetical, I'm afraid. Although I've had a good virtual Tuesday night's drinking. But I shall certainly look you up whenever I'm in Dublin. If you get to Cape Town first, get hold of me.

By all accounts it's killed the pub life in Dublin. Can anyone confirm this?

Surely best of all is someone not having to suck off a sweaty Yank for the price of a cheeseburger?

Next week, Tuesday night, mood sombre yet relaxed, music to go with wood, crowd must not be trendy.
Music to go with wood? What can you mean?

Oh. I thought you were using 'wood' in the American sense...

Come to think of it, I'm still not entirely sure I know what you mean.

That sort of wood music would be easy, wouldn't it? Whatever the porno soundtracks are using these days. I wonder if the standard soft cheesy jazz has been changed.

If you listen to Steve Reich's Music for Pieces of Wood, a glimmer of comprehension should come your way. Or perhaps Tom Waits' The Black Rider would be a better bet. Good luck finding your way out of the woods.
